The General Labor I Packaging Associate will be responsible for assuring the finished product meets quality standard and the product identification is correct. Assumes responsibility for the operational flow of machines. Ensures the product meets Lactalis Standards throughout the process and at no time the quality of the cheese is compromised.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
Meet efficiency budget levels while producing high quality products.
Ensure the cheese is properly sealed before placing it in correct containers.
Prepares correct packages and boxes for the days cheese being packaged.
Loads and operates machines at a set speed and with minimal stops during process.
Accurately complete associated CCP and line operation paperwork while maintaining efficiencies.
Maintain clean and organized work area.
Interact with associates to maintain efficient process flow.
Weigh cheese.
Maintain open line of communication with all line workers and supervisor.
Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
Report problems and/or concerns to the on-duty supervisor.
Attend departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.
Ensure proper use, identification, mixture, and application of chemicals, including the requirements and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Perform other work duties as assigned.

Farm Relationship & Procurement
* Contribute to the delivery of Lactalis USA's milk sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with milk quality, sustainability, cost, and service goals.

* Act as a liaison with producers on topics including animal welfare, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

* Manage the daily flow of raw milk, cream, skim, and other dairy inputs from suppliers to plants.

* Will perform required quality checks for string, fresh mozzarella, shred, sticks, and mozzarella departments. To include such checks as metal detector checks, leaker checks, weight checks, analytical checks, and various other checks to verify product conforms to the product specification.
* When a quality check result does not confirm to requirements, performs necessary rechecks to confirm non-conformance.
* Assist with initiating the hold procedure to control non-conforming product at time of packaging.
* Pull samples from the line per sampling plan for each area to submit for microbiology, chemistry, sensory, shelf life, and/or pathogen analysis.
* Complete screen sort checks as defined in sorting procedure and properly tag product needing additional action to bring to conformance. To notify QA Clerk/supervisor/manager of major defects or patterns of defects in a timely manner.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Cutter based in Nampa, ID.
The Cutter is responsible for placing blocks of cheese into an automatic cutter machine. Maintains high quality and cleanliness to ensure the cheeses are not compromised or contaminated at any time during the process. Observes cutting machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of product to plant standards while assuming responsibility for the operational flow of the line.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
· Lifts and places blocks of cheese on table lift to be cut.
· Removes any cheese that does not meet product specifications and places in rework bin.
· Observes and maintains cutter operation for even flow of product.
· Interact with associates to maintain efficient process flow.
· Maintain open line of communication with all the line workers and supervisor.
· Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
· Report Problems and/or concerns to the on-duty supervisor
· Attend departmental meetings and training as assigned.
· Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed.
· Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.

Education
· High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
· No experience required, experience in general cleaning, chemical handling and
customer service preferred.
Specialized Knowledge
· No specialized knowledge required.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
· Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual employee presence.

Physical Requirements
· Regularly lifts and places blocks of cheese on a table.
. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver cheese blocks weighing 20-60 lbs. on a repetitive basis throughout the shift.
. Prolonged standing during shifts while monitoring and operating the cutter machine.
. Walking along the production line to maintain process flow and communicate with team members
. Frequent use of hands and arms to position cheese blocks, remove defective pieces, and operate controls.
. bending, reaching, and twisting when handling cheese or cleaning equipment.
