Job Summary: Under the direction of the area Supervisor, the Machining Team Lead ensures that products are machined and balanced at the highest level of safety and quality at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Job Duties / Responsibilities: * Ensures that assigned work areas operate in a pro-active safety focused methodology. * Oversees needed components are available to complete orders on the shop floor. * Follows production schedule in assigned work areas to satisfy internal and external customer requirements per date required. * Prioritizes, schedules, and delegates work assignments, and directly leads the production of company products at the highest quality, meeting company performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements. * Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine scope of work and any needed fixturing or supplies. * Provides ongoing performance feedback via area board and daily area meetings. Celebrates successes, addresses complaints, and resolves problems. * Trains workers to complete work in assigned area. * Manages daily area meetings and ensures boards are updated daily. * Leads safety toolbox talks. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: * Able to read and understand Machining drawings and symbols. * Follow production scheduling. * Resolves daily production issues with short-term and long-term planning. * Ability to interact with Engineering and all aspects of production with effective communication. * Conflict resolution abilities. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * 4 years minimum welding experience: Machining * 2 years' experience as team lead or area supervision. Physical Requirements: * Ability to work in manufacturing environment on daily basis. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work standing for up to 10 hours per day.
