Axient is now hiring a fully qualified Lead System Analyst, experienced in utilizing analysis methods and practices with a passion for providing systems support on a variety of highly complex tasks.

In this role you will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. Design work may include logic design, circuit design, I/O design, instrumentation design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, network structure design, and analog or binary systems engineering. Analyzes integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of total system performance. Responsibilities

* Perform a variety of engineering tasks related to the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems.
* Design work may include logic design, circuit design, I/O design, instrumentation design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, network structure design, and analog or binary systems engineering.
* Analyzes integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of total system performance
* Assist with technical assessments of cost and performance for sustainment engineering, requirements development, interface development, and product engineering including models, fielding plan development, and program changes
* Assist with identification and integration of technical requirements for required infrastructure and deployed systems and coordination of system development, fielding, and sustainment engineering planning
* Develop an automated data requirements tracking tool and prepare status updates including action items and recommendations
* Provide technical cost assessments, technical assessments of ECPs, and CDRL tracking spreadsheets related to DoG
* Verify DoG C2BMC development activities meet warfighter expectations
* Provide status reports and Planning Allocation Matrix (PAM) assessments
* Experience in Strategic/Tactical strategy, planning and operations

* Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Master's Degree with 12+ years, or bachelor's degree with 20+ years in lieu of a Master's Degree
* Secret Clearance required
* Familiarity with MDA, MDS, Sensors that support C2BM, the C3BM Program Office, and/or military experience
* Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional written and verbal skills required
* Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
* Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment

Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols

Manages and leads automated system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle including the design, development, implementation, modification, planning, estimating, feasibility testing and evaluation of automated systems. Makes recommendations concerning all of the above. Provides input to the manager concerning software evaluations. Manages the routine support efforts, including balancing team assignments. Coaches and gives ongoing reviews of employee performance. Supports the continuous process of optimizing department resources. Provides best solutions to identified needs, meeting operational and business objectives, technology capabilities, and human resource requirements. Maintains the ongoing service relationships between the IT department and its direct application customers, and is a liaison to other departments and entities. Provides after-hours support.
Responsibilities:

* Leads IT projects, including planning, obtaining customer input and projecting resource requirements.
* Reviews system requirements with customers and translates requirements into specific functions or deliverables.
* Analyzes flow chart processes and recommends ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology.
* Plans, schedules and manages multiple projects requiring computer resources including project scheduling.
* Other duties as assigned.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field.

Certifications:

* For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

* Understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
* Understands principles of client/server configuration.
* Excellent knowledge of messaging technology and project management skills.

Work Experience:

* 6 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning and scheduling a major information system project.
* Strong analytical, administrative, presentation, and project management skills are required.
* Must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work independently.
* Offset: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and 9 years of experience.
* Offset: Associates Degree and 7 years of experience.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
* Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
* Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
* Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
* In some locations, ability to move up to 20 lbs.

Job Description

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is responsible for supporting and maintaining our DevOps toolchain to support next-generation Duke Health clinical, research, and business applications. The Site Reliability Engineer is a subject matter expert on release engineering, source control management, GitOps methodologies, and has the capability to work with internal resources and vendors to use automation with CI/CD principles to improve the delivery of enterprise systems and technology solutions; assist with the enablement of self-service platforms; support the DHTS Innovation and Automation team with release engineering expertise to the ensure successful deployment of applications and development pipelines using DevOps best practices.

Essential tasks/responsibilities:

• Define and assist with implementing improvements for our use of GitOps methodologies and practices
• Support & contribute improvements to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our GitLab infrastructure
• Assist with building, deploying, and managing cloud native applications hosted on-prem and in various cloud service providers
• Debugging CI/CD problems at scale for our mission critical services and help our development teams implement lasting fixes to recurring issues
• Execute, debug, and configure CI/CD pipelines
• Assist with defining and measuring production availability, navigating known downtime, and service level outages
• Analyze service requests and take appropriate action meeting defined SLA
• Define and implement monitoring metrics and alerts to ensure tools and environments are meeting SLA's for uptime and performance
• Advance Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps processes and procedures for our organization
• Work closely with across organizational disciplines to understand requirements and how our developers build/test/deploy their apps
  

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or MS in Software Engineering, or 5 years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing Git software repositories and branch strategies to support concurrent/parallel product development streams
• Experience installing, administering, and automating source and binary repositories and version control
• Experience installing, administering, and automating build and packaging systems for distribution of SW products
• Extensive expertise in looking at the build process and making it faster for developers
• Enterprise experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Build engineering
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft, or Google Cloud

Desired Skills:

• CKA or CKAD Kubernetes certification or Red Hat OpenShift certification
• Current certification(s) for at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Microsoft, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working in compliance environments preferred
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Enterprise GitHub/GitLab Administration experience is also a plus
• Azure DevOps experience is a plus
