Overview: The School Social Worker is responsible for helping students to address problems or issues that may get in the way of learning and competence, such as truancy, rebelliousness, social withdrawal, substance abuse, and bullying. The School Social Worker is a member of the school counseling team, performs functions of a support staff member and reports to the school principal.
