POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan, layout, weld, install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work with other crafts as instructed by supervision.

-Complete welds to the specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials.
-Install and verify operation of high-pressure steel pipes and fittings.
-Repair and replace any damaged pipe; fabricate and install metal fittings; install supports, valves, and other control equipment; bolt, clamp, or weld parts to secure in position for welding.
-Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble, weld, and install all types of pipe and/or similar tubular products.

Requires working knowledge of equipment, work processes, and techniques used in measuring fitting and welding steel. Requires x-ray pipe welding experience with the ability to weld pipe in all positions and mirror welding. Requires knowledge of welding symbols, ship terminology, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and American Bureau of Shipbuilding (ABS) standards. Must pass SMAW 6G Pipe Test to become ABS Certified.
Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written, verbal, or diagram forms or plans. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions. Contact customers regarding service recalls, declined maintenance, and overdue follow-ups.
Conduct post-service follow-up calls, including customer satisfaction surveys.
Provide customers with updates on vehicle status and estimated completion times.
Communicate any changes or delays in service in a timely, professional manner.
Administrative Support & Coordination
Support Service Advisors by preparing repair orders and documentation as needed.
Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records in the CRM/DMS.
Assist with scheduling shop capacity to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Monitor upcoming appointments to ensure parts and resources are prepared in advance.
Customer Experience & Relationship Building
Ensure every interaction reflects the dealership's commitment to outstanding customer service.
Help resolve customer questions or concerns, escalating issues to Service Advisors or Management when necessary.
Act as a liaison between the customer and service team to enhance trust and transparency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
1+ year of customer service or call center experience (automotive preferred).
Excellent phone etiquette, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong computer literacy (experience with CRM and DMS systems a plus).
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
Positive attitude, team player, and eager to learn the Service Advisor role.
