The Grinder/Chipper is responsible for grinding and chipping metal workpieces to shape edges, remove excess material, and eliminate defects such as cracks and holes, following job orders, blueprints, and work instructions. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to maintain product quality and workplace safety.
GRINDER OPERATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts safely and effectively to transport castings to and from machines using air hoists and/or cranes.
Remove excess metal from castings using pneumatic hand grinders, stand grinders, or chisels in portable grinders/power hammers.
Grind portable parts on pedestal grinders, removing sharp edges, burrs, pits, and cracks, and clean splatter or rust to improve the appearance of workpieces.
Inspect workpieces for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
Inspect hooks, slings, chains, cranes, hoists, and grinders to ensure they are in safe operating condition and not used beyond weight limits.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections on tools and production equipment daily to ensure safe operating conditions.
Position workpieces manually or with a jib crane, following guidelines or maneuvering workpieces around stationary grinding wheels.
Dress and maintain grinding wheels for optimal performance.
Complete production requirements on a daily and weekly basis.
Communicate with other grinders, forklift drivers, and machinists to improve product flow to the Finish Department.
Lift and move parts and objects weighing up to 100 lbs., frequently positioning them in difficult work
GRINDER OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS,EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Grinding Experience is a Plus
High school diploma or GED, or 13 months of related experience/training preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and work orders.
Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.

Position Overview
Execute safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the shipping department at the Sheboygan site. The operator must safely load and ship bulk outbound material into tank trucks, totes and drums, receive and transport to storage inbound material from both internal and external customers. What you'll be contributing:
Terminal Operator 1 will complete daily loading, unloading, administration and safety requirements on site. They will also actively participate in site maintenance and upkeep to drive the 5s and "make it better" programs. The Terminal Operator 1 will actively engage with customers to ensure that we are providing a solid customer experience on site.

Demonstrate the ability to perform all scanner functions necessary for the position, including cycle-counts, replenishment, item inquiry, inventory put away, etc.

About the Role
As a Calibration Operator, you will be responsible for aiding in a variety of job functions throughout the Calibration department including gathering to be calibrated, returning gages after calibration, updating calibration certificates from outside vendors, and/or sending/receiving gages for outside calibration. This person will be a resource for the Calibration Department.
What You'll Do
Collect and Return Gages
Ability to generate, organize and interpret gage recall report(s) to collect gages for calibration.
Return gages to the proper storage or floor location after calibration.
Review gages being returned from production to verify the gage is correct, the gage is not damaged, and calibration status.
Check in gages and return to the correct storage location or calibration waiting location.
Verify gages from outside calibration to the purchase order and receive in the ERP system.
Work with Calibration Technicians to efficiently manage department workflow
Documentation and Reporting
Review gage recall reports(s) for gages coming due, request quotes from calibration vendors, and enter requisitions for calibrations.
Review calibration certifications from outside vendors for accuracy, completeness and out-of-tolerance conditions.
Update calibration records for gages calibrated by outside vendors.
Review gage transaction history and extend calibration records for unused gages.
Review gage history and inactivate unused gages per UMC compliance requirements.
Detect and report defective gages or questionable conditions and complete necessary paperwork.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability in accordance with UMC requirements. ISO 17025, AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.
Cross Departmental Support:

A successful Operator 2 will demonstrate the ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment, understand how to adjust fixtures, tooling, and equipment parameters. He or she will have a strong dedication to safety and quality. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring the highest care is taken with plant equipment and processes. The ability to understand and follow work instruction while maintaining the 6S and key metrics in the department will help drive the success of the manufacturing process. An exceeding Operator 2 will demonstrate and train these skills to other operators on the production floor.
The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ability to safely operate light manufacturing equipment and follow work instructions during Milwaukee Tool Accessories production.
Assisting in the maintaining of equipment and plant to Milwaukee 6S standards
Accurately recording production data
Constantly works to ensure equipment is exceeding performance metrics
Ensures prompt job changeovers
Coordinates with the Department Leads to fulfil Work Orders
Skills & Qualifications:
Mathematical and analytical skills
Possess proven mechanical ability or aptitude
Accuracy and attention to detail required
Familiarity with correct PPE wear and safety policies
Education and/or Experience:
2-5 years of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
Previous stamping, deburring, spot welding, experience with automation, or chemical safety experience is highly encouraged
High School degree/GED
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 35 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching
Employees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells.

About The Opportunity
The United 66 2C Die Cutter Operator is responsible for setting up, running, inspecting and maintaining the diecutting machine.
Essential Functions:
Feed printed, labeled, or plain corrugated sheets into the machine
Set up machine center for production runs
Check quality for correct register and customer specifications
Monitor incoming stock and product after being die cut to meet and maintain Menasha's and our customer's quality standards (make sure color variations meet customer's standards)
Maintain a clean work area
Perform minor repairs to cutting boards
Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements- quality is the responsibility of all employees
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
