AM Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience

As a Shipping Operator you will:
Packing products and preparing them for delivery. Navigating customer websites and data entry.
What will my responsibilities include?
Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Prepares items to remain free from damage in transit or storage by use of protective sleeves, wrapping, and padding.
Is expected to visually inspect outgoing product as the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system.
Input of data entry.
May coordinate with others in preparing outgoing shipments.
Access customer portals to determine shipping instructions.
Move material to other areas of the factory.
Clean and maintain work area as part of 5s program
Maintaining 5's + Safety of department
Serve as a backup driver for the department when needed
Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate - overtime may be required

Responsible for loading the mixing platform with raw ingredients to be used for daily production of par bake cookies, frozen dough and CPA/Pastry items. Must ensure proper lot code and stock rotation.
Verifies lot code numbers, product type and quantity of each load incoming and outgoing moved using scanning gun or warehouse computers.
Performs and records counts as requested by inventory control, warehouse supervisor and management.
Count, organize and palletize return ingredients to be sent back to Rialto once production runs are completed.
Moves trailers in and out of loading area for out and inbound loads.
Keeps stock tracking records and other simple records of quantities of items moved, storage locations and daily work performed.
Moves stock, pallets and other items manually as required.
Provides assistance with the overall maintenance of the warehouse environment, i.e., mixing platform clear of empty pallets, racking clean and tidy, empty pallets stored safely.
Completes Warehouse Daily shift checklist.
Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred
1-2 years of stand-up forklift experience
English and/or Spanish speaking preferred
In-house Forklift Certification, HACCP & GMP training (in-house)
Shift: 3rd (10pm-6:30am, must be able to work weekends, and able to be flexible in scheuduling based on production needs.)
Hourly Range: $20.50 - $23.00

Description
As a Forklift Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely moving goods and materials around a high traffic industrial environment. As a Forklift Operator you will help maximize efficiency of the production process by safely operating mobile equipment to move product, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, operating shrink wrap machines, and preparing shipments for transportation.
This full-time position reports directly to a Warehouse Supervisor and is located at our San Diego, CA manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other material handling equipment in a high traffic industrial environment.
* Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system to include a touch screen monitor located on the forklift, to track inventory levels and product location.
* Responsible for regularly completing pre-operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance.
* Prepare shipments for transport, consolidate partial pallets, and operate the shrink wrap machine as needed.
* Move product and/or materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trailers.
* Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
* Other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution AND 1+ year experience operating mobile equipment or comparable experience in place of education.
* Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing, and data entry.
* Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
* Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of distribution documentation: pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading.
* Knowledge of warehouse organization, workflow as well as basic inventory control (I.e.: Amtech).
* Previous experience with reading a tape measure.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 hourly shift differential. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
