You will contribute by:
Operating a forklift to transport merchandise to designated locations in the warehouse
Accurately tracking inventory utilizing a handheld computer and other necessary technology
Stacking and rotating merchandise, either by hand or using material handling equipment
Replenishing pick slots and production lines to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders
Staging finished product in designated storage areas
Loading and unloading merchandise from trailers
Following all safety protocols and procedures set for a forklift operator in the warehouse
Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

**Overview**
**Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Forklift Operator based in York, PA (Emigsville Plant).**
**Opening is 7:00 am- 7:00 pm - 4 days one week and 3 days the next**
Forklift Operators perform a combination of product handling and lift truck operating duties to stack, transport, and store work-in-process and finished goods. Supplies production lines with efficient flow of materials - knockdowns and dividers - and moves finished goods to warehouse. Complete line driver reports accurately and legible showing locations and quantities of raw materials used as well as quantities and locations where finished goods were stored. Assist production line employees by relieving them in breaks and lunchtime periods. The primary duties of a Forklift Operator include:
+ Follow all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
+ Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check and report any equipment malfunctioning or damage to the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor. Change lift truck batteries and add water when necessary; keep record of time batteries are changed. Fill out lift truck status report.
+ Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
+ Review daily production schedule with Shift Supervisor, brings materials to the production lines when needed to execute schedule and notify supervisor of any materials running low. Removes finished goods from production lines, back to assigned warehouse locations.
+ Provide accurate information of unloaded materials as well as materials used or produced to warehouse personnel.
+ Remove, store, and unitize production scrap bales and informs warehouse personnel when there is enough for a full load. Removes excess corrugated from mezzanine and empties baler as required. Takes full bales of cardboard scrap from baler to assigned location in the warehouse.
+ Maintain accurate records of materials being used and produced, and reports them in appropriate paperwork, back to warehouse personnel.
+ Remove finished goods and other materials in hold to assigned location. Stores finished goods stacked neatly and in proper height. Verifies that all finished goods removed from the production area must have a product code tag.
+ Participate in physical inventory taking.
+ Keep each production line supplied with the proper knock down cases, dividers, pallets and when each pallet is full take that pallet to the warehouse for loading on the trailer; and takes unused cases and dividers back to the warehouse to the proper location.
+ On limited production, may assist in stock-handler duties or load trailers as needed.
+ Bring up hot glue cases to the mezzanine, brings color concentrate to the lines, replaces cold glue tote, removes excess cases from production floor, brings slip sheets to production floor, loads storage racks with gaylords, set up rework, set up units of product on hold for Q.C., relieves stock handlers, loads and unloads corrugated trailers, identifies good corrugated from the bad and isolates it.
+ Follow established forklift procedures and complete required safety and maintenance checklists
+ Follow established procedures for damaged finished goods and raw materials and report them on line driver report.
+ Communicate with supervisor regarding shift totals and machine totals reports and with other lift truck operators regarding any changes or problems that arise, including damaged materials, damaged skids, or low inventories.
+ Complete written documentation as required.
+ Assist in relieving downstream teammates for breaks and lunches.
+ Use forklift to move pallets of finished product to stretch wrap machines to stretch wrap them and to staging area after wrapping, or to specify warehouse location. Completes finished goods report or worksheet.
+ Maintain supplies of corrugated and other packaging supplies at each machine.
+ Visually inspect all completed pallets of product for quality and conformity to the packaging instructions to ensure quality at the source.
+ Limited travel may be required.
**Qualifications**
Minimum of 1 year forklift experience preferred.

ROLE SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for performing all warehouse functions within our high volume, fast-paced distribution center including the palletizing and shipment of manufactured finished goods and the case pick, full pallet pick and loading of all outbound orders.

Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments according to schedule in terms of correct SKU and quantity versus bills of lading.
Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, physical inventories, etc. for package materials and finished goods.

Utilization of computerized WMS (warehouse management system) for all assigned work.
Single case pick utilizing voice-to-pick software system.
Ensure that case picked pallets are stacked in such a manner that the consignee can obtain an accurate count of product upon receipt of the order.
Ensure that product is unitized per CHD packaging specifications.
Verify lot codes of assigned product, including proper documentation and record keeping.
Ensure that orders are loaded according to standard loading and weight patterns minimizing any damage to product.
Ensure that pallets are properly labeled per customer requirements.
Assist with the training and certification program as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required.
Six (6) months forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
PREFERED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred experience with standup forklift in a warehouse environment.
Previous experience with WMS preferred.

About The Opportunity
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Newville products.
* Perform work as assigned by management
* Transport finished jobs or good into correct areas
* Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
* Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
* Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
* May confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
* Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area
* Maintain a safe work environment
* Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and/or Production Supervisor
* Responsible for following and complying with Company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintaining quality work and product
Education & Experience
* High School Diploma/GED and/or previous warehouse experience. Experience in driving a stand-up forklift.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Ability to pass certification in order to operate a forklift truck
* Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS
* Ability to perform duties while sitting, standing, walking and lifting for certain times throughout the shift
* Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written
* Ability to produce at a high level
* Ability to work with plant management for required results
* Ability to be able to work as part of a team

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
* Regularly standing on a powered industrial truck

* Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
* Having a good sense of balance
* Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
* Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season

Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser's, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser's provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.
SUMMARY: The role of a forklift operator entails the efficient and safe handling in the lifting and moving of product throughout the facility to its correct storage area in the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fill pick locations in an accurate and timely manner to avoid slowing down the picking process.
Stacking empty pallets and relocation of pallets.
Movement of product to the correct locations in the warehouse.
Performing quality checks on new inbound product when preparing it for storage.
Carryout simple maintenance on the forklift, like recharging its battery and reporting any equipment malfunctions or faults to the supervisor or technicians.
Stack products by hand in warehouse locations when the situation demands.
Reporting damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors.
Restocking bins with product when locations become empty or low in quantity based on an RF system.
Maintain warehouse stock in a neat and orderly condition.
Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have a good knowledge of warehouse arrangement, layout, and functionality.
Must be physically able to lift product weighing up to and sometimes exceeding 60 lbs.
Knowledge of using a RF system to track product within the warehouse.
An understanding and knowledge of food safety regulations.
Must have good communication and be able to perform simple mathematical calculations with the ability to adhere to instructions.
Ability to continue standing for long periods of time, up to 12 hours or more as required.
Must be effective in a team oriented working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Forklift certification and training required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
