Summary/Objective Dignitas Technologies is seeking a motivated Vehicle Operator Instructor. This position is contingent upon contract award. Essential Job Functions/Duties The individual has: Knowledge, skills and attributes to implement and evaluate instruction on the systems, subsystems, equipment controls and routine preventative maintenance functions at the operator level. Must be able to review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations. They shall deliver instruction incident events identified for the Assault Amphibious Family of Vehicles (FOVs), and the associated training systems. Responsible to maintain and update their assigned periods of instruction and other administrative tasks associated with maintenance of the operator curriculum. Specific Skills The Vehicle Maintenance Instructor's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Deliver instruction on ACV operations, including system/subsystem controls, operator-level maintenance, and waterborne procedures. Ensure all operator training meets the proficiency standards set by AATOPS 01-ACV2, including required swimming qualifications for waterborne vehicle operations. Conduct instruction on tasks such as inspections, PMCS, and technical references applicable to ACV operations and maintenance at the operator level. Maintain and update assigned periods of instruction, lesson plans, and training records in accordance with curriculum requirements. Review and provide recommendations for changes to training content, including lesson plans, student guides, visual aids, and evaluations. Support the delivery of training incident events and scenarios as defined within the ACV FoV programs and associated training systems. Utilize and reference current operator-level technical manuals and associated instructional materials. Perform administrative tasks related to curriculum maintenance and instructor responsibilities. Required Qualifications Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English, including technical terminology related to operation, maintenance, and assembly/disassembly of vehicle systems. Demonstrated experience in instructing ACV or comparable combat vehicle operations. Familiarity with Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and technical references at the operator level. Strong instructional, communication, and evaluation skills. Required Education/Certifications Must be current USMC Swim Qualification Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such. Must have a current SVET Qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET. Preferred Education/Experience Preferred graduates of Instructor Development Course (IDC) and or Curriculum Developers Course (CDC). Prior Formal Learning Center experience is a plus. Schedule: 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM Days off: Monday & Saturday How You Will Make an Impact: Complete & document daily forklift inspections. Move material to/from stock to manufacturing lines using a RF Gun. Accurately transact all material movements real time into WMS. Shrink wrap and stage in the appropriate area. Accurately count material returning to stock, attach a “COUNTED” sticker with updated quantity, initial and date. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout building including pallet organization, emptying of dumpsters and loading of recyclable material into dunnage trailer. Be in constant communication with other team members and leadership to understand their needs and status of current and future jobs. Movement of inventory and non-inventory pallets to ensure efficient operations. Perform accurate Cycle Counts and any requested counts. Experience in a 3PL Warehousing or Crossdock facility is a plus. Ability to work as a team and independently. Good attention to detail. Ability to perform all tasks while continuously standing. Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately while ensuring quality. High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years' experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment. Forklift certified (or eligible). Physical Requirements and Shifts Extended periods of standing. Frequently moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
