Job Description:
Loss Prevention Officer

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

What You'll Do

Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Saftey/Hazard/Security audits.Continually monitors the hazard materials storeroom and cleans up spills.Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to safe location.Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts.Use computers and office equipment.Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.Provides trainings to other employees.Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.

Required Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.Experience with CCTV preferred.Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.

Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC is searching for a supervisor for the Loss Prevention Department. This position will lead four teams (Loss Prevention, Car Control, Security and Impounds) evolving around the management, recovery, reporting and coordination of our Corporate Rental Assets. This individual must be capable of handling multitude of tasks which are time sensitive and have the ability to delegate responsibility and follow through to ensure tasks are completed appropriately. This position will require the ongoing training, mentoring and evaluating a variety of associates as the areas of responsibilities are vast and constantly changing in accordance with various city and state municipalities, as well as corporate objectives.
What you will do:


Supervise division Overdue process to lead team in the reconciliation of overdue rental vehicles and missing vehicles. Supervise division Impound process to lead team on the timely retrieval of our vehicles from various Impound locations across the division, CONUS. Ensures appropriate expenses are paid to the Impound lots and recovered on the customers contracts prior to closing. Handles all escalation issues related to Overdues & Impounds with Field Management, Security, ERS and Impound Vendor. Handle customer service issues, as well as operational inquiries. Manage the local and one-way overdue Budget Truck rentals. Facilitates communication between customers, dealers, security, law enforcement etc. to ensure timely retrieval of trucks. Manages risk associated with internal customers to ensure loss prevention agents are managing the process appropriately. Responsible for bi-annual Truck Inventory including SOX requirement documentation. Responsible for reporting of missing and alarmed vehicles for Field Management and Security personnel to aid in the management of fleet control. Trends data to identify and escalate potential fraud issues as indicated. Complete and review yearly Associates performance appraisals
Create and conduct training modules for TCS Manager and Team Leaders based upon quality reports. Weekly and monthly reporting of Service Language Agreements, as well as other performance metrics. Troubleshoot various exception processing. Mitigate issues between companies, as well as providing process improvements.
Handle customer service issues, as well as operational inquiries.



What we're looking for:


College Degree (Business, Criminal Justice, or Communications) or equivalent work experience. 3 years car rental security loss prevention experience 5 years business experience. 3 years supervisory experience.

Ability to handle multiple tasks during constantly fluctuating volumes. Demonstrated customer service skills. Experience in Avis field operating environment, outsourcing or start up of a new department beneficial. Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Teams), Visual Basic, Wizard, and Brio Query

**Description**

• Minimum four years related loss prevention/safety/security or concierge level customer service experience • Supervise a staff of Security Specialists to provide 24/7 security coverage • Train, coach, and mentor Security Specialists • Conduct verbal and written performance evaluations in partnership with the Loss Prevention Manager for all Security Specialists • Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service through radio dispatch, phone, and email • Respond in a timely manner to emergent events, issues, staffing deficiencies and other management requests • Monitor and maintain up to date and accurate timekeeping systems, records, and coordinate administrative scheduling • Ensure personnel are provided with necessary equipment and equipment is accounted for • You will provide direction to employees in the field and utilize proper judgment to solve problems. • Lead all aspects of Loss Prevention uniform needs, including sourcing processes, apparel, purchase orders, etc. • Build strong relationships with Retail Leadership and work in partnership to resolve any security related issues • Conduct investigations around internal/external theft and fraud • Liaison with Law Enforcement to build out security strategies and resolve investigations

**Education & Experience**

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Possess and maintain State of California Guard Card, a valid California Driver License and a safe driving record.
