Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area. Forklift Operator Responsibilities: Responsible for operating a forklift in the warehouse and production areas of the plant. Re Stacks and bags returned to system must be worked on daily and recorded. Seat belts are to be worn at all times and the lift must be operated at a safe speed. Move and wrap completed products. Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills. Any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities of the Extrusion Machine Operator will include: Execute daily handoffs to day shift by communicating production rates and operational status Lead shift team utilizing quality principles with an emphasis on continuous improvement Distribute and monitor work orders to team members Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following 5S principles Safely operate extrusion or molding equipment and build product per work instructions Impart quality into every part through attention to detail and execution of in-process control plans Complete daily and weekly preventative maintenance on assigned equipment Ensure accurate manufacturing transactions in the MRP system Assist with inventory control, cycle counting, and continuous improvement projects Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications for the role of Extrusion Machine Operator: High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following: extrusion, blow molding, thermal forming, injection molding, plastic/metal welding, or other relevant machinery operation (training provided for the right candidate) Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Strong attention to detail, visual inspection skills, and commitment to workplace safety Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Forklift license is a plus Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills About Us: red Shift Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
