Inventory management of materials and finished goods in the converting area Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system. Follows all GMPs required by HFG. Notifies supervisor of any mechanical, ingredient, quality, and safety deficiencies. Follows instructions from supervisors and assistant supervisors. Follows and sustains “Continuous Improvement” program. Understands how all production assignments function such as: Performs packing Operates loading line Performs box making and labeling Performs palletizing Performs floor sweeping and general cleaning Performs blending using pitchforks and buckets Helps with rotation on production lines as required. Understands how to set up, operate, and troubleshoot scales, baggers, PFM Horizontal Baggers, PMO Cup Lines, and Bowl Lines Fills out and completes paperwork attributed to production line. Utilizes tablet to record operations, finished goods, and downtime throughout shift. Performs routine checks to ensure that the machine is in an operable state. Ensuring the correct packaging is used for specific product ranges and that packaging is done in line with the quality and customer standards. Performs inspections on equipment and reports findings to production management. Updates hourly performance boards as required per shift. Leads changeovers as required to ensure runs are completed efficiently and on time. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Prior machine operator experience required (3-5 years). High school diploma or equivalent PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to work within timelines and in pressure situations based on production needs. Available to work scheduled hours and weekends as needed. Able to stand, bend, climb up and down stairs for sustained periods of time, approximately 10-12 hours per day as required. Able to work in a refrigerated environment (32-36 Degrees Fahrenheit). Summary The Machine Operator Level C is responsible for operating various types of machinery to produce parts within dimensional tolerances, using select feeds and speeds based on alloy type, to obtain the best cutting conditions, and producing the longest tool life.
