Job Description: The Machine Operator - Grinder is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining grinding machinery to produce high-quality parts according to specified measurements and tolerances. This role involves monitoring the production process, performing inspections, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation: Set up and operate grinders, including surface, cylindrical, or centerless grinders. Adjust machine settings, such as speeds, feeds, and tooling, to achieve the desired results. Quality Assurance: Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauges) to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications. Identify and address any quality issues during the grinding process. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Report any mechanical or technical issues to the maintenance team. Production Monitoring: Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings. Monitor grinding processes to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
