What we are looking for in a Production Technician:

Properly maintains and performs minor routine maintenance to machines utilized.
Evaluates parts or material by measuring with appropriate instruments and may perform simple testing to validate parts or material conforms to requirements.
Documents information as required per the work instruction or as instructed and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor, lead, and/or engineer.

Position Summary:
Operate 5 axis numerically controlled machines for composites production details or assemblies with the aid of proven tapes and tooling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines from specifications, machine operating instructions (MOI), and/or production orders the work methods and sequences necessary to machine details or assemblies that meet engineering requirements
Validates machine set ups and part runs are compliant with MOI's and process work instructions
Performs routine preventive maintenance of assigned machines
Ensures machine axis' are within tolerance by running calibrated artifact and calling maintenance when machine is out of tolerance
Maintains a job log, records “down time”, and inter shift coordination as required
Must have knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments
Reads and interprets blueprints
Performs 5s housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe work environment, while complying with environmental regulations
Basic Qualification:
High School diploma or GED and 2 years of composites experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
The ability to work 1st “5 AM - 2:42 PM” or 2nd shift “2:30 PM - 12:00 AM” and any work schedule
