Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a position as a machineoperator to operate, maintain and troubleshoot production line equipment at our Atlanta-West facility. The skilled operator will be responsible for ensuring production lines operate efficiently with minimal downtime while adhering to site safety practices. Production lines vary in heavy industrial machinery equipment; the operator's technical skills will utilize a combination of mechanical equipment knowledge while following all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring equipment is operated responsibly and in compliance with OSHA standards.
Starting hourly rate: $24.63 with opportunities to advance through a skill-based pay system. Shift differentials for overnight shift hours. Note this role is rotating swing shifts- rotating both day and night shift. Shifts are 7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM.
In this role, you will:
* Operate production line machinery equipment efficiently, ensuring start/set ups, and running times for products are maintained accurately.
* Perform changeovers on lines/equipment's, following established procedures and protocols and safety standard guidelines.
* Capable of troubleshooting, fixing, and repairing mechanical malfunctions, product jams, or failures, utilizing mechanical knowledge and skills.
* Identify quality issues as they arise, collaborating with teams as needed to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and/or parts assigned ordering replacements as needed.
* Assist with completion of improvement projects and equipment installations, working with the engineering team as needed.
* Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and responsibly.

Summary:
The operator controls the process, inspects product for quality conformance and accurately records quality data using statistical process control.
Essential Functions:
Monitor belt conditions and transition points to minimize broken links and to insure smooth transition. Notify lead, maintenance supervisor or manager if equipment needs adjustments or repairs.
Properly set up bags and load batter and breading machines ensuring outer layer of bags are removed prior to dumping in machines and place empty bagin trash.
Performs sanitation of equipment using chemicals and assist with changeover of equipment, ensuring all lock-out and tag-out procedures are followed.
Operates appropriate material handling equipment, if necessary, such as pallet jacks in a safe and orderly manner in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries
Ensures that material handling equipment is maintained (daily inspection) and clean; reports repair or service needs to lead and Line Mechanic in an effort to reduce equipment damage.
Complies with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e., OSHA, HACCP, AIB, etc.)
Troubleshoots problems as they arise and make appropriate adjustments to correct the problem.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Operates specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards. Maintains and monitors machinery to ensure proper function. Performs multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, dependent upon the department processes. Produces a high quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers. Solves problems with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in other departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs a minimum of 75% of the jobs in the department at the required rate (cycle time).
Reads and understands routings/drawings to produce parts to quality expectations. Calculates and derives dimensional information from all types of dimensional drawings.
Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc.
Completes required paperwork correctly to ensure record accuracy.
Consistently performs SPC/quality checks by utilizing measurement tools and devices.
Consistently performs to Standard Work Instructions at each process.
Maintains clean, safe working environment according to 5s and department safety guidelines.
Participates in improvement activities.
Rotates through the department workstations based on business need.
Sets up, loads, and operates manufacturing equipment.
Regular and predictable attendance based on scheduled hours.
Flexibility to work varied hours (surrounding assigned shift) as business needs require. Works overtime as needed.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to use required measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.
Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment and influence others.
