As a Production Worker II, you will be responsible for contributing to the fabrication and distribution processes of high-quality products. You will work alongside dedicated teams in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical skills and experience to complete in-process and final inspections, operate machinery, perform assembly tasks, and ensure quality standards are met. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. Work will be completed in a contained work cell and will cross-train on other operations in the cell to provide support as needed. Document, identify, and segregate nonconforming product. Perform visual and/or dimensional inspections of mid to large volumes of similar parts to ensure product conformity to specified requirements. Follow appropriate sampling plans per direction in Procedures, Work Instructions, Job Operations, and other requirements as outlined. Document inspection results, measurements, and other relevant data accurately. Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Perform assembly tasks as per specifications and drawings, adhering to quality standards Complete cross training initiatives across multiple work areas and processes to be able to support production needs across the entire facility. Maintain accurate production logs and documentation as required. Run the job to produce the correct quantity of product. Record accurate times on the router for each job performed. Bundle and tag all usable centers with traceability information as required in the work instruction. Follow work instructions for each area of the fabrication department. Follow all safety instructions Interact with other employees and departments in a professional manner in addressing product quality and related issues. Provide other departments with information and assistance to support them in accomplishing their objectives. WORKING CONDITIONS Coil Winders and Assemblers work in a well-lit, environmentally controlled manufacturing plant. Some of the operations involve standing and observing, loading and unloading after cycles complete. Other operations involve sitting at work stations while performing minute hand movements on tiny components. Although some workers may work with chemicals, with good ventilation the work is not inherently dangerous. Operators work full time schedules, sometimes long week-day shifts or weekends. QUALIFICATIONS GED/High school education preferred. Able to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams. Basic math skills needed for counting quantities, understanding quality reports. Hand, foot and eye coordination (manual dexterity) to assemble small items. Positive work ethics and the ability to work within a team or individually. Essential Functions * Set up and operation of manufacturing machines. Record machine set-ups every time a new setting or change is made. Understand equipment and perform trouble shooting when required. * Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed. Follow all lock out tag out procedures. * Meet standard rates for various products. Maintain and improve scrap rate. If not maintaining a standard rate,able to identify causes with engineering and or supervisor. Complete all necessary paperwork & documentation in an accurate, timely fashion. * Understand all critical machine & manufactured product features to insure product quality is maintained. * Become knowledgeable and follow the organizations Quality Management System. Understand and maintain a 5-S work area. * Performs other duties as assigned.
