The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or changes as necessary to maintain quality specification. To obtain this job title, a machine operator must be able to operate complete a training log associated with a particular zone. Operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture high-precision parts according to technical specifications and customer requirements. Machine setup and operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes, including selecting and installing tools, attachments, and accessories. Technical interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances. Monitor production: Observe machine operations to ensure parts meet specifications and production runs efficiently. Adjustments and optimization: Make real-time machine setting adjustments to maintain quality, minimize scrap, and improve cycle times. Precision inspection: Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect parts and verify conformance. Routine maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning to ensure machines are in optimal working condition. Safety compliance: Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations during operation and maintenance activities. Collaboration: Communicate with supervisors, programmers, and team members to resolve issues and meet production goals.
