JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

If certified, operate a forklift safely, making sure all mobile equipment logs are filled out daily for each piece of machinery.
Complete quality testing as required.
Log all analysis properly on the respective pick slips.
Notify the plant operator when the proper materials for bagging production are needed.
If blends are performed, make sure the blend is logged for the duration of the blend and proper QC standards are followed.
Notify management and office administrators if any of the following occur:
Material shortages for daily shipments
Gradation problems or loading time changes
Unusual noises or potential mechanical problems
Assist maintenance in repairing any mechanical equipment, when necessary
Complete and maintain all related paperwork as directed by management daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.

Relief Operator Engineer

Operating/Maintenance Engineer - Relief Operator Department: Facilities Management - Utilities Reports to: Utilities Supervisor Appointment: Full-Time; 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $39.14
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems including, but not limited to: boilers, pumps, dampers, piping, chillers, compressors, valves, controls, coils, air handling equipment, etc. and perform other related duties as assigned.
The Relief Operator generally performs the duties of a Maintenance Engineer when not performing the duties of the Relief Operator. The Relief Operator covers Operator vacancies with a duration of 40 hours or greater and is compensated at the Operating Engineer rate while performing Relief Operator duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have minimum of five (5) years of experience in the repair of systems and system components as listed above. Preference will be given to candidates possessing a valid boiler license and refrigerant certificate. Commercial refrigeration experience will be preferred. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer's technical literature pertaining to the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment is necessary. Familiarity with various computer programs and systems such as G-mail, Kronos timekeeping system, School Dude, Building Automation (WebControl), and Microsoft Office. Must possess valid driver's license and have good safety, attendance and past work records. Strong comprehensive skills. If not presently, must become and remain a member of Local 399, International Union of Operating Engineers. There is a 90-day Bradley University probationary period.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have mental and physical capabilities to perform essential functions of position with or without reasonable accommodations, i.e., stand, bend, reach, push, pull, climb, etc., tolerate constant or extreme noise, high/low temperatures and humidity; independently handle up to 70 pounds; visual ability sufficient to safely and effectively operate equipment; hearing ability sufficient to hear statements and hold conversations through earpiece and in person; work environment is indoor and outdoor and includes dirt and dust. Respirator use required.
