Purpose Statement

The Machine Operator employee is a self-motivated team player, who has the flexibility to adapt the workload as customer changes are communicated and evolve within the day to day operations of the cell. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Needed/desired for this Position)
High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
Meet the production fulfillment needs of internal and external customers
Setting up machine, utilizing variety of tooling, perform 1st piece inspection checks.
Tool selection-Top tools & Jaws.
Loading & Priming of Glue.
Adjustments to pressure valve for Glue application.
Perform Height adjustments with tooling & components.
Program selection.
Operator tooling PM's.
Trouble shooting-Machine adjustments for required glue application.
Ability to use standardized tools of measurement (Computerized Vision Measurements, arbor presses, depth indicators, go/no-go gages, and other standardized tools/ equipment
Operate complex machinery safely, accurately, and efficiently per the work order and work instructions.
Ability to Read, understand and follow work orders, specifications and “special” instructions as outlined on the work orders.
Read, understand and complete all production department documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis ISO9001 and AS9100 standard.
Ability to use or learn basic computer skills.
Work orders must be completed daily to meet Facility Promise Date and Cycle Time metrics
Maintain a clean and orderly work area to eliminate FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
Utilize necessary Kanban and FIFO methodologies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
Must have range of motion to push/pull lever up/down with moderate force
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.

Job Summary:
As a Robot Operator in the Folding Guard division, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining robotic equipment used in the production of safety and security systems, including wire mesh partitions, safety railings, and storage solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Operate robotic machinery and equipment, performing tasks such as loading materials, program setting, and execution of operational sequences. Conduct regular maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identify and report any product defects or machinery malfunctions to the supervisor.
Strictly adhere to workplace safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of safety gear and emergency procedures. Ensure that the robotic equipment is operated in a safe manner to prevent accidents.
Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities, times, and any issues encountered. Assist in the preparation of reports on production performance and machine efficiency.
Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and production staff, to optimize production processes. Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotic technology relevant to the Folding Guard division. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in operating robotic machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
