The Salty Packaging MachineOperator, under general supervision, is responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of packaging machinery while maintaining continuous flow of product to the packaging lines. Responsibilities include making minor adjustments to the machinery to achieve the correct product, troubleshooting, maintenance of machinery, and record keeping.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains shift documentation (i.e., Metal Detector and Batch Order Verifications)
* Reads production schedule and plans accordingly.
* Reads and interprets schedule in MicroStrategy.
* Able to print labels on different printers, choosing correct program for each printer; move eye and clean printers.
* Perform nitrogen testing.
* Efficiently maintains the operation of packaging machinery by monitoring codes, dates, and prices.
* Maintains an adequate supply of roll stock and ensures all packaging materials are available for each machine.
* Set up and write new programs for bag makers.
* Writes and/or edits machine micro logic as needed to maintain an efficient and low waste operation.

We are looking for experienced MachineOperators, to join McCLARIN Composites. The ideal candidate will be well versed in operating 5-Axis CNC routers, Thermoformers or Manufacturing Robots. 1st and 2nd shift available. 2nd shift includes a 10% shift differential.

As the MachineOperator you will be responsible for operating various machinery which can include a Robot Trimmer, Thermoformer, RIM, Robot Surface Preparation or 5-Axis CNC Router. As the MachineOperator you will work with the scheduler and supervisor or manager to ensure daily production quotas are made. You will be responsible for inspecting the finished product for quality compliance as well as monitoring the operation of the equipment and notifying maintenance of any inefficiency or concern that arises.
A Day in the Life of:
May work with an Assistant Operator to complete job duties.
Procures and completes MOs, Quality Checklists, and any other job-specific paperwork in a timely manner.
Audits any materials lists for accuracy and proper material staging.
Operates CNC production equipment with a focus on safe operation.
Performs minor adjustments to tooling and repairs of mechanical systems with basic hand tools.
Loads/removes product to/from production workspaces.
Assist with or sets up and tears down machine tooling per job specifications.
Inspects product between operations, completing any associated forms/checklists.
Deburrs and prepares product for next operation or workstation.
Cuts scrap product for recycling or grinding using electric cutting equipment.
May be required to feed scrap product into grinders.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment wearing all PPE in accordance with policies and procedure
Additional Duties as assigned.
Requirements:
What Makes You Qualified:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience with forklift operation preferred or the ability to learn.
Ability to read and understand standard work instructions.
Must Haves:
Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours with occasional breaks.
Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs unassisted and 70 lbs with assistance.
Ability to read blueprints, decimals, and fractions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruct team members.
