As a Manual Machinist you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
What You'll Do:
* Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain shop machinery
* Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers
* Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, machines and materials onto machines
* Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
* Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders
* Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments
* Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media
* Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop equipment

We are currently seeking a reliable and detailed individual to join our Machine Shop team. This role will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, programming independently, G-coding, and operating machine tools to create products according to engineering specifications, ensuring high quality and efficiency in a manufacturing facility.
