We have an open position on our 1st shift which runs from Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. There are opportunities for overtime on Friday and Saturday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Run manual machines including conventional open face lathes, lathe threading, Prototrak, Bridgeport mills, grinders, drill presses and other shop equipment. Ensure equipment is effectively utilized to efficiently accomplish all work. Complete Tool Room shop orders with the highest quality standard. Interpret job specification blueprints and job orders to determine machine adjustment and material requirements. Ensure daily production data, labor and quality recording is accurately compiled and reported daily. Continuously improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Perform deburring operations on machined parts. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions. Performs complete preventative maintenance of machines. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: Ability to setup and operate manual lathe and Bridgeport mills is required. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawing or other specification and work in 10th of thousands.
