The Manufacturing Technician is a 3rd shift position and has the primary responsibility of direct support for specified processes including performing changeover, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and part quality assurance. Processes include specialized equipment that require strong, logical problem-solving skills, frequent use of mechanical abilities, as well as a strong working knowledge of machining fundamentals. In this role, the technician is the primary leader and sole point of contact on the prospective shift for these processes.
Responsibilities
Ensure equipment and processes are meeting and exceeding daily production targets.
Perform machine changeovers and setups in a time efficient, safe manner.
Constantly strive to improve processes and eliminate downtime.
Read and interpret part drawings and measure various parts to those drawings
Ensure all documentation is developed and up-to-date, including tool drawings, setup instructions, PM checklists, daily cleaning checklists and other as required.
Work closely with Operations, Planning, and Leadership to ensue production KPI's are met.
Be able to provide recommendations and insights on process improvements, tooling, and cost reductions pertaining to relevant equipment and processes.
Train, mentor, and coach operators and other support personnel on relevant equipment and processes.
Perform job duties on 1st, 2nd, and / or 3rd shift as required.
Maintain a positive, “can do” attitude and strive to constantly improve.
Position Requirements
Associate degree in an engineering related field is highly preferred.
Relevant and equivalent work experience will be considered.
5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving machining and automation.
Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting part drawings and measuring product to ensure compliance along with the ability to use basic measurement instruments
Proven experience using precision measuring equipment to troubleshoot and correct machining problems.
Experience in quality assurance in a related manufacturing environment preferred
CNC programming and application experience preferred.
Experience with manual lathes, mills, and other equipment preferred.
Knowledge dealing with complex manufacturing situations, hardware specifications, quality standards, product development, CAD / CAM, and technical specifications.

Manufacturing Technician
Manufacturing Technician at Mueller Water Products, Decatur, Illinois.
The Manufacturing Technician is a 3rd shift position and has the primary responsibility of direct support for specified processes including performing changeover, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and part quality assurance. Processes include specialized equipment that require strong, logical problem-solving skills, frequent use of mechanical abilities, as well as a strong working knowledge of machining fundamentals. In this role, the technician is the primary leader and sole point of contact on the prospective shift for these processes.
Responsibilities
* Ensure equipment and processes are meeting and exceeding daily production targets.
* Perform machine changeovers and setups in a time efficient, safe manner.
* Constantly strive to improve processes and eliminate downtime.
* Read and interpret part drawings and measure various parts to those drawings
* Ensure all documentation is developed and up-to-date, including tool drawings, setup instructions, PM checklists, daily cleaning checklists and other as required.
* Work closely with Operations, Planning, and Leadership to ensue production KPI's are met.
* Be able to provide recommendations and insights on process improvements, tooling, and cost reductions pertaining to relevant equipment and processes.
* Train, mentor, and coach operators and other support personnel on relevant equipment and processes.
* Perform job duties on 1st, 2nd, and / or 3rd shift as required.
* Maintain a positive, "can do" attitude and strive to constantly improve.
Position Requirements
* Associate degree in an engineering related field is highly preferred.
* Relevant and equivalent work experience will be considered.
* 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving machining and automation.
* Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting part drawings and measuring product to ensure compliance along with the ability to use basic measurement instruments
* Proven experience using precision measuring equipment to troubleshoot and correct machining problems.
* Experience in quality assurance in a related manufacturing environment preferred
* CNC programming and application experience preferred.
* Experience with manual lathes, mills, and other equipment preferred.
* Knowledge dealing with complex manufacturing situations, hardware specifications, quality standards, product development, CAD / CAM, and technical specifications.

Position Summary:

Job Summary:
Assists in the rebagging production facility where cooking and popcorn oil products are prepared, processed, packaged, stored and/or shipped.
