Almac Group is currently seeking a Receiving Operator for our Souderton, PA location. The Receiving Operator will be responsible for carrying out all material handling activities required within the receiving area of the warehouse to aid in servicing the Production and Distribution departments. They will be responsible for the receipt of material into the Clinical Services warehouse and ensure that levels of customer service and cGMP compliance are maintained to the highest possible standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Unload trucks, segregate and re-stack all incoming components, labels, drug, job related materials, and non-job related materials within the ambient, refrigerated, and frozen areas of the warehouse.
Provide regular updates to the Receiving Operator Grade 3, Receiving Supervisor, and Warehouse Manager where appropriate regarding work allocation and project status.
Ensure all material is labelled, stored correctly and properly protected against damage or deterioration. All stock must be located properly with storage locations being accurately recorded on the relevant system
Assisting other areas within the Warehouse department as deemed necessary by the Receiving Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:

Preferred Experience / Education:
1 year Warehouse/Receiving experience
1 year Pharmaceutical Warehouse/Receiving experience

Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped per load sheets in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
Operate and be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, reporting any quality variances

Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
* Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions

THE POSITION
As a Shipping/Facilities Associate, you will primarily work in the Shipping department but also support the ESH/Facilities Specialist in assisting with duties for the Snowdrift Road building internally and externally.
Shipping Associate
Primary duty is to utilize SAP to process data uploaded to the computer for product that needs to be packed.
Pack individual or master cartons per customer/warehouse requirements while maintaining accurate counts.
Operate packaging equipment used to support packaging process.
Palletize, label, weigh and wrap outbound shipments.
Accurately pick and count product from storage locations for production and/or shipping.
Maintain a clean working environment utilizing the 5S program.
Use a handheld RF device as needed.
Operate pallet jack for shipment fulfillment.
Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines to ensure all safety requirements are met.
Perform all other activities as directed by your supervisor.
Facilities Associate
Assist with minor repairs, installations, or removal of equipment or furniture.
Update/maintain work orders.
Assist with minor facility cosmetic installations, repairs, or upgrades.
Assist in maintaining facility operations and security.
Assist with building systems management (i.e., sprinkler system)..
Assist with internal audit checklist for maintenance of housekeeping, landscaping, and needed repair services.
Ensure all work and maintenance is completed to meet the standards of the company, local, state, and federal requirements.

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a collaborative and detailed individual to join our Shipping team. This role will be responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products to customers or distribution centers, maintaining shipping records, and monitoring inventory levels in a manufacturing facility. * Maintain organized inventory in the shipping area. Monitor stock levels of shipping supplies (boxes, packing materials, labels, etc.) and communicate needs to supervisor. Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel.
* Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmation. Prepare shipping-related paperwork such as bills of lading, packing slips and customs documents if applicable.
* Participate in training programs to improve shipping skills and product knowledge. Attend monthly EHS trainings. Must obtain and maintain IR certification/license for harness and equipment (Saw, forklift, and scissor lift). Follow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks).
* Use order pick list to ensure that all parts associated with order are present before packing order. Inspect products for any defects or damage before packaging. Shipper/Receiver
Basic Function
Prepare and pack parts and instruments for shipments. Verify and enter receipt of incoming material shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.
Receive and disburse orders as follows:
Prepare paperwork to document receipt of incoming materials.
Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates discrepancies.
Maintains computerized inventory data records and paper files.
Notifies proper personnel of incoming materials on a priority basis.
Deliver materials / packages to appropriate personnel
Process postage on outgoing mail
Pack and ship orders as follows:
Verify identifying information on order.
Check materials for damage.
Assemble and consolidate orders.
Prepare and pack order in accordance with shipping instructions.
Process shipping transactions in ERP
Process material movement transactions in ERP.
Process and apply shipping and billing labels in accordance with shipping instructions. This includes manual processing along with operating UPS, Fedex and bar coding systems to complete airbills and bills of lading for air and motor freight shipments.
Prepare shipping closing reports. (UPS & Fedex systems)
Maintain accurate finished goods inventory
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain an inventory of shipping and packing supplies. Order supplies as needed.
Fold and tape standard and non-standard boxes for packing process.
Help mount, block, and secure large shipments on skids, crates, or boxes as needed.
Operate packing foam and Air Express packing equipment.
Assist drivers loading and unloading the trucks
Perform general housekeeping in area.
Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment.
Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Support company continual improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Tools & Equipment
Familiarity with the following tools and machines: UPS & FEDEX label machines, tape dispenser, foaming machine, bander, overhead crane, step ladder, manual & powered hand truck, battery charger, computer, scissors, utility knife, staple puller, stapler, scales, rulers, steel toed shoes, protective eyewear.
Education and Experience
High School graduate preferred.
1 year experience working in a storeroom or shipping / receiving function preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows preferred.

The physical demands of kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting (up to approximately 80 lbs.), fingering, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
