This is a critical role in ensuring that materials are available when needed and that they are properly stored and handled to prevent damage or loss.
Roles and Responsibilities
Transporting materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or other parts of the facility as needed
Labeling and tagging materials with identifying information such as part numbers, lot codes, or expiration dates
Packaging parts and determining appropriate packaging methods
Printing shipping labels and/or bills of lading for UPS and LTL carriers using local software and online tools
Receiving functions - unloading/unpacking parts, verifying quantities, completing inventory transactions for received parts
