Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the site. First Shift Schedule: 10 days on from 8am to 4pm, followed by 4 days off. Overtime required as business required. Pay: Pay starts at $22/hour and can be adjusted with experince. What you will do: At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries Assist with new orders and cycle counts Read and understand standard work and risk assessments Exhibits equipment and product understanding Counts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement Assist service operations with pulling and picking parts Performs other job duties as assigned What you will have: Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Prior experience operating a forklift Top Candidates will have: Must be at least 21 years of age. Have a clean driving record, which generally means: No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months. No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years. Basic understanding of the warehouse distribution industry Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department Work Environment: Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration Noise Level: Moderate Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
