Summary
This position supports RDI productivity and on-time delivery goals by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies and staging finished product. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy and the movement of material into and out of the warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and often has direct interaction with Production Manager, Supervisors and Techs, as well as the Supply Chain Coordinator and Quality Assurance.
Hours are Monday through Friday 11:00AM to 7:15PM. Flexible hours are not available.
Essential Functions
* Moves about the work area/building continually, moving materials throughout the production floor. Continuous reaching, stooping, bending, twisting to reach and position materials.
* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory, focusing on timeliness and accuracy.
* Referring to production orders, locating materials and supplies, accurately pulling inventory from assigned bin locations to support pick/pack operations numerous times per workday.
* Maintains an awareness of schedules and deadlines, adapts to changing work priorities throughout the shift.
* Ability to operate a forklift in tight spaces to retrieve stored items and stack empty pallets.
* Perform weigh counts for WIP returns to inventory.
* Maintain warehouse and material handling equipment in a clean and safe condition. This includes pre-use inspection and identifying safety risks, removing empty crates and boxes, packing materials, and other debris from warehouse floor. Keeps shelves, pallet area neat, complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
* Consistently uses strength, dexterity, flexibility balance and good body mechanics when performing essential functions. Follows appropriate safety policies and procedures of RDI as well as community and regulatory instruction.
* Reports all broken and malfunctioning equipment immediately.
* Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality as defined by RDI's policy. Records all time worked accurately and consistently using the timekeeping method provided by RDI.
* Willingly completes other duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4:30 pm - 3 am
The Material Handler - Layer Picker is an essential part of our team. The Layer Picker is a sit-down forklift with a swing arm clamp pad / claw attachment. It travels on a rail system with pallets of product arranged on the other side of the rail. This provides the ability to rotate the attachment back and forth, pallet to pallet, efficiently selecting layers for pallet builds.
Safety is the number 1 priority. The main duties will rotate around the operation of the layer picker, building pallets accurately, preparing the line for optimal selecting of layers, and supporting the team member you are working with to provide top customer service. This position will also support operations with other material handling duties as assigned when there is no allocated work within the layer pick area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Safe Operation of material handling equipment including the layer picker, stand up forklifts, pallet jacks and high reach trucks.
Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
Accurate and timely selecting of customers' orders.
Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.
Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.
Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation, and location of shipment.
Load finished goods onto trailer within specified time limit.
Perform and report cycle counts.
Follow daily operations schedule and achieve specified goals.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Performs other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.

Position responsibilities
Report 30 minutes prior to your assigned shift. Walk through with previous lead person to determine priorities based on information obtained from logbook and IQMS. Review these priorities with Shift Supervisor.
Inventory machines with plastic resins so machines do not run dry. Make sure all equipment is in place for specific jobs and is running functionally. Check the temperature of the hopper and dryer.
Keep the machine area clean and organized, making sure all extension cords and hoses are neatly tied and off floor and pallets square to the machines.
Clean machine, hopper loader, screens, material hose and grinder after each usage to eliminate contamination to next product run. Maintenance grinders, if necessary.
Periodically walk-through production floor and inventory levels of plastic resins at each machine (gaylords, auger feeders and hoppers). Restock materials and supplies.
Remove empty gaylords (remove tags) and finished goods from production floor to staging area in warehouse or final lot.
Empty blue trashcans from production floor, trash from lunchroom, and warehouse at the end of each shift daily. All trash should be taken to compactors. Keep the work area clean.
Make sure materials, supplies, and plastic resins are restocked throughout your shift and at shift change.
Interact with shift supervisor on job completes, material usage, and other related problems. Work as directed.

Hands on, mechanically inclined.
Forklift experience or certification.
Physical Requirements

**A Brief Summary of This Position**
The primary responsibility of the Material Handler is to ensure product and parts are transported (using industrial motorized equipment) to the proper storage or work locations in a fast-paced environment while maintaining employee and equipment safety. This position will utilize a computer system to locate part numbers and update inventory accurately.

+ Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count accurately
+ Ability to safelylift upto 50 pounds with20 poundobjects being lifted repeatedly throughout the shift
+ Ability to climb into the forklift, stoop, crouch and move about the shop and yard area
+ Working knowledge of using e-mail
+ Ability to work overtime whenrequiredfor business needs
+ Ability tooperateoverhead cranes (including cab-over mag crane), forklifts, shag trucks, sideloadersand weigh counting scales.
+ Ability to work with wood and small hand tools such as tape measures, saws, drills, smallriverters, banders and gas welding equipment
+ Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, communication, and follow-through skills

Ice Solutions is seeking reliable Warehouse Laborers to support daily operations at our Council Bluffs Warehouse. This role involves handling empty bottles, operating forklifts, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring packaging and palletizing tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Travel (% of work period):
Approximately 10% travel to other company locations
Key Responsibilities:
Load and offload trucks with empty and filled bottles
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Place empty bottles onto automation machines for processing
Unload filled bottles and move them to designated areas
Box, package, and prepare products for shipping
Palletize and stack items to fulfill orders
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the warehouse
Other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Subject to change depending on business needs and conditions.
