**Job Description:**
**About the Role:** The Material Handler position at the Manawa location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
+ Operate standard and non-standard counterbalance lift equipment, turret truck lift equipment, pallet wrap equipment, weight scales, battery changing equipment, and other equipment as needed
+ Train for the use of warehouse management system including the operation of computers, scanners, and printers.
+ Support production lines by delivering production materials and moving finished product and scrap to the appropriate areas

This is a full-time role starting at $24.05 per hour on 1st shift. Hours are 4:30am-3:00pm, Monday - Thursday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
Accurate and timely selecting of customers' orders
Accurately completing work order sheets.
Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed.
Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.

Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.

Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.

What You'll Get to Do
The Material Handler is focused on handling glass pieces and rotate them through the various phases of the tempering, laminating, cutting, or shipping processes and reports to the Department Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual with a strong attention to detail particularly in areas of safety, quality, and efficiency, strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment. A vital member of the Production Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
Move glass product from, tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily
Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process
Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
Maintain a safe and clean work area
What We Are Looking For
Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Must understand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical equations
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision

Job Overview
Assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Materials team works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship product to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory. Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory. Ability to read and interpret work instructions. Perform basic computer functions related to data entry. Strong organizational skills for efficient space utilization and inventory management. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The general purpose of the Tow Motor Operator is to keep material and scrap moving to and from the fabrication area so production can be continuous. The Tow Motor Operator checks in delivery trucks, unloads the material, and keeps it organized in the yard inventory. They manage scrap trailers and work on a schedule to get pickups for various material scrap.
Coordinates and delivers material from stock locations to supply fabrication machining and bending needs.
Insures all work centers have the needed Materials/Supplies to ensure production is made on time and complete.
Assisting the Scheduler that we are producing product to the schedule, insuring a constant flow through Fabrication meeting customer demands.
Must move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment (Forklift, hub-tech and crane certified).
Assist team lead (when necessary) with organization, quality verification, and quantity moves of finished goods prior to going out of fabrication.
Utilize technology to review job requirements, report production, and to produce labels or reports.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work place.
Performs any and all other duties assigned by management

Operates and drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel-hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
Responsible for operating a forklift in the warehouse and production areas of the plant.
Prior to shift start, ensure propane tanks are filled and forklift equipment is properly blown out and all fluids checked.
Grease fittings if needed.
All raw materials are to be stacked in a neat and orderly fashion.
The warehouse is to be swept daily and trash bins emptied when full.
All trucks loaded are to have proper paperwork before being loaded (packing slips and weight ticket). All trucks loaded are to be counted and recounted by another associate and both persons sign off that the proper amount of product has been verified and loaded.
Packaging slips must be attached to all loads and packing slip enclosed.
Load seals must be attached to all trucks by the forklift operator before the truck leaves the dock area. Plywood is to be stacked during the teardown of pods.
When the plywood rack is full, it is to be banded and stacked for later use.
Re Stacks and bags returned to system must be worked on daily and recorded.
Seat belts are to be worn at all times and the lift must be operated at a safe speed.
Junk pallets are to be stacked and put in their proper place until they can be disposed of.
Clean up warehouse at the end of shift.
Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
Move and wrap completed products.
Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills.
Any other duties as assigned.
Forklift Operator Qualifications/Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
Will require good eye, hand and foot coordination.
Must be able to pass the company forklift training.
Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
Required to read and interpret scales.
Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of bailer and various other simple maintenance problems.
Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
