What you will do:
Review packing slips against purchase orders and material delivered for accuracy and complete receipt transactions
Load and unload delivery trucks
Ensure inventory accuracy regularly by completing cycle counts when issuing material

A Brief Summary of This Position
This is a SECOND SHIFT POSITION 3:30pm to 12:00am Monday - Friday.
This is an individual contributor position responsible for receiving, unloading, and storing incoming product loads and inspecting finished products for damage and defects. The incumbent will operate forklift equipment to move material. They will be responsible for identifying material and product being loaded and unloaded. The incumbent will create tags for products being unloaded, which may involve taking notes and pictures and entering that information into the computer. Incumbent will be responsible for inspecting galvanized product to ensure a high-quality finished product and making recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products. Interact with customers and truck drivers, coordinating special handling as a result of an inspection, work safely with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Essential Functions:
Operate forklifts with the capacity to move up to 22,000 lbs. of material on and off of flatbed trailers
Communicating potential problems or needs with material to the Lead or Supervisor
Inspect incoming material for proper venting and hanging. Must be able to identify coated material.
Inspect galvanized material to ensure it meets the quality standards, reject material that does not meet quality standards, and coordinate special handling for this material
Read tags, bills of lading, and shipping and receiving papers
Verify tags on incoming product with details including piece count and finished product packaging
Move pieces of steel and other material up to 50 pounds by hand from different locations in the plant and yard
Operate small hand tools including tape measures, micrometers, saws, drills, riveters, and nail guns

Job Summary:
Working under minimal supervision, provide accurate and timely inbound and outbound movement of materials, parts, sub-assemblies and full assemblies. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Counts, weighs and accurately identifies all items received and shipped. Ensures that materials are verified against vendor's invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, shipping documents and or other documentation
• Maintains accurate records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies in quantities and weights and records critical information such as time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped. Provides accurate and timely documentation per work instructions to ensure accuracy of data entered into the ERP system
• Prepares items for shipments. Pulls parts, adequately packages items for safe transit, appropriately labels items for accurate shipping and notifies carriers as required to ensure timely shipment of materials
• Operates forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, pneumatic lifts and utilizes ladders, steps, rolling carts or other material handling equipment to safely access and move materials
• Utilizes computer to prepare shipping documents, reconcile shipping records with carriers and records data. Communicates via email with internal and external customers, vendors and transportation companies
• Uses computer to perform data entry in business system (SAP) or other computer applications which may Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel documents.
• Serves as a resource with full knowledge of warehouse procedures and functions.
• May assist in training new employees; shares knowledge gained through experience
• Completes cycle counting and reconciliation in SAP.
• Works directly with outside customers on transportation and shipment of goods; may deliver and pick up material from customers or vendors
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety and quality management procedures.
• Regular attendance and compliance with all Company policies and rules is an essential function for the job. Overtime, including potential for nights and/or weekend shifts may be required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Thermal Specialties is looking for a Material Handler/Warehouse Associate for our Distribution Warehouse Division in Tulsa, OK. This individual needs to have strong work ethic and reliability and be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Knowledge & Skills:
Must have a valid and active drivers license and be able to drive our company truck/box truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations as needed
Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods
Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, storage yard, or vehicles
Pull and package material for new orders. Unload floor-loaded stock trucks
Perform daily cycle count
Fabrication of custom insulation systems (pipe cover, elbows, metal jacketing)
Operate fork lift or other machinery (saw, stomp shear, metal roller) in order to complete tasks
Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
Demonstrated attention to detail and pride in your work
Basic math skills and accuracy in reading a tape measure
Working knowledge of fabrication preferred but not required
Forklift experience preferred
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment. Frequently required to stand for long periods of time.

Material Handler/Driver
Material handler/warehouse job in Tulsa, OK
Material Handler/Driver - Loads and unloads inbound freight and outbound finished product. Moves materials within the plant and transfers finished product to the warehouse. Delivers installation materials to job site. Hours are 4/10's from Tuesday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
Lifts heavy objects by hand or with forklift or pallet jacks. Can become certified to operate forklift through Company's forklift certification procedure.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Loads truck for Truck Operators.
Moves materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
Opens shipping containers, Counts, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on designated production sheets.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, pallets, or other containers; Assembles crates to safely ship products.
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
