Reports to Warehouse Manager Assists warehouse manager by loading/unloading merchandise from trucks to ship to store locations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Efficient and safe loading and unloading of trucks in a secure manner to prevent damage · Assists in receiving merchandise and reports any discrepancies · Helps stock merchandise · Maintains proper staging and loading areas · Determine appropriate loading configuration, taking into account stop order, product mix and routing, to ensure maximum trailer utilization · Load product into truck on pallets, or by hand stacking or a combination of both · Ensure the method of loading prohibits damage in transit · Inspects in coming merchandise and informs Warehouse Manager of all damages · Assists in maintaining a clear, safe, clean warehouse · Maintains a neat appearance and professional attitude · Maintains proper paperwork · Obeys all safety rules OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, reach, grasp, stoop, bend for up to 10 hours at a time.
