About the Department
The Bellevue College (BC) Custodial Services Department within Campus Operations supports the College's primary mission by cleaning and maintaining internal and external areas of all College Facilities and other assets. The department works in compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies by following BC's policies, follows and maintains safety procedures and follow-up Campus Operations program on accidents and safety prevention techniques. The department also follows APPA's Operational Guidelines as well as continuously improves work methods, knowledge of equipment, supplies and safety through participation in routine training sessions.
Essential Functions
Support and lead cleanliness of BC facilities
* Maintains assigned area in a clean and safe condition according to BC's procedures.
* Assigns, instructs and checks the work of others regularly.
* Train and refresh cleaning practices and equipment usage.
* Will cover other runs in accordance to need resulting from absentee, emergency clean up or other work-related needs of the Bellevue College's internal and external facilities.
* Support the Campus Operations Department crews and the various departments, vendors and/or visitors in accordance to need.

Minimum Qualifications
* At least one (1) to two (2) years of Janitorial/Custodial work experience.
* At least one (1) year experience as a Lead Custodian.
* Knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the custodial work.
* Demonstrated physical ability to do the required work, lift/push/or pull at a minimum 50 pounds.

Institutional Advancement is the external facing division of Bellevue College which includes marketing, web editing, KBCS radio station, public relations, creative services and the Bellevue College Foundation. Essential Functions
Executive Support to the Vice President/Executive Director of the Foundation and Foundation Board of Directors
* Act as the primary point of contact and executive support to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement/Executive Director of the Foundation and the Foundation Board of Directors
* Exercise independent judgement, decision making, discretion, confidentiality, and creative problem-solving skills to address a variety of administrative and managerial issues such as personnel matters, budget scenarios, resource allocation options in compliance with federal FERPA laws
* Plan and execute board meetings, committee meetings, take and manage meeting minutes, and support Board retreats and special meetings
* Ensure governance documents are up to date, including conflict of interest disclosures and board member term tracking
* Manage new board member onboarding and offboarding processes
* Manage and maintain the private document management system for the Foundation Board of Directors
* Help produce or compile routine and ad hoc reports in the areas of fundraising, donor engagement and other metrics
Division Strategy and Project Management

Managing Division Operations

* Monitor, research, develop and draft policies and procedures for the Division and BC Foundation

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate is expected to work 12-15 hours per week. Expected start date is September 1st, 2026 based on the candidate's availability. You must be prepared to work the full academic year, approximately 12 months from your start date. This position typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. Typically, new hire starts at $20.00 / hour.
The temporary hourly employment is limited to the earlier of 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months beginning from the original date of hire. Per WAC 357-04-045, following 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months, an individual is not eligible for re-employment at Bellevue College in another temporary part-time hourly position. Temporary hourly employees who work more than three hundred fifty (350) hours in a twelve consecutive month period may be subject to provisions of one the collective bargaining agreements covering Classified employees at Bellevue College.
This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month. The Neurodiversity Navigators program is an innovative program at Bellevue College that offers neurodivergent students educational programming along with individualized advocacy and access services. The program strives to ensure that the BC Neurodivergent population has equal access to student services and academics. Peer mentors play a major role by working with Neurodiversity Navigators students individually and in groups.
At Neurodiversity Navigators, our mission is to support all neurodivergent students at Bellevue College through a social justice model. We provide educational opportunities to increase self-knowledge that leads to successful academic outcomes in the areas of neurodivergent identity & culture, executive functioning, self-regulation, social interaction, self-advocacy, and career preparation. Neurodiversity Navigators supports neurodivergent students with advocacy and access services and actively promotes a campus and community environment of inclusion and understanding of students, faculty, and staff with neurological differences.

Essential Functions
* Meet with assigned students each week to develop student rapport, share student experiences, and support student access to academics and campus life.

* Track student attendance and participation.

We educate students with curriculum tailored to their learning needs and provide them with an abundance of opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom in real-life situations, culminating in a 250+ hour internship specific to their unique career goals. We have 16 students per class average for more personalized instruction. They take on average 8 credits per quarter (90 credits total) which is usually 10-14 class hours per week. When we work with students, we use the following student support strategies: Collaborative Problem Solving, Social Thinking, Executive Functioning Supports with dedicated coaches.
Essential Functions
* Meet at agreed times with students with various disabilities both in group and individually, on site to provide supports in the previously mentioned areas. Tasks include: Appointments are set up with students individually. There are also specific learning lab times where coaches are available on site during the week.
* Collects and maintains reliable data collection methods and systems as specified by supervisor. Tasks include: data is collected in an Excel Sheet and is updated after each student session
* Reports students concerns and needs to Instruction and Student Success Program Manager (ISSPM). Participates in the design of student's action plans as requested.
* Collaborates weekly with supervisor to support students and instructors effectively.
* Attends and participates in program meetings and events during the work day. Tasks include: attendance is required to two Brown Bag events per quarter and also I weekly meeting with ISSPM.
* Other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
* Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience as a Para Educator/Aid or executive functioning coaching experience
* Intermediate to advanced skills in 2010 Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.

About the Department
Bellevue College's Marketing and Communications team leads branding, marketing, communications, creative, and digital strategy. The department helps advance the college priorities through a variety of campaigns, stories, and newsletters, and serves as the central branding, marketing, and communications office. Based within Institutional Advancement, the department leads integrated efforts to advance the college's reputation, resources, and relationships. Institutional Advancement is the external-facing division of Bellevue College, which includes marketing, creative services, communications and public relations, web services, the KBCS radio station, and the Bellevue College Foundation.
Essential Functions
Manage and implement digital strategies to support the college's strategic enrollment priorities.
* Use technology stack (TargetX, YouVisit, Naviance, etc.) to increase inquiries, applications, and enrollment of new students to support enrollment goals. Develop conditional content for personalized communications based on user behaviors such as completed relevant actions, past email engagement, and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.)
* Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, map prospective student customer journeys from different sources, i.e. recruitment fairs, digital ads, organic search, Bellevue College website inquiries.
* Collaborate with Information Technology manager, creative services manager, and academic department program managers to execute effective digital marketing. Launch program-specific and timely digital advertising campaigns.
* Conduct audit of digital marketing strategies and materials of academic programs. Assess marketing readiness and make recommendations to improve existing content.
Manage and execute quarterly marketing campaigns
* Manage and execute branded, quarterly advertising campaigns using Google Analytics, Ads, and WordPress with preferred vendors in support of Bellevue College strategic goals.
* Manage digital advertising efforts, including google display network, search, paid social, search optimization, and other channel tactics in conjunction with advertising agency of record.
* Provide campaign budget recommendations for Director approval based on analytics, keyword forecasts and desired reach.
Analyzing and reporting
* Maintain, monitor, analyze and report on data/analytics across BC's digital marketing channels, measuring effectiveness of past actions and using data to make recommendations and optimize campaigns to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
* Add conversion tracking goals to further refine and improve campaign effectiveness.
Implement and manage email communications and marketing to prospective students
* Develop innovative email campaign strategies and compelling content with the goal of nurturing prospective student leads to apply to the college.
* Develop and implement strategies to minimize list decay and unsubscribes and increase the productivity of email sends.
* Refine best practices documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and communications that succeed through email.
Manage and implement digital efforts to other key audience segments
* Develop and execute email campaigns to other key audience segments to support college and division priorities.
* Set acquisition, behavior, and outcomes goals that align with Institutional Advancement division goals.
* Support web content strategy for Marketing and Communication websites by managing monthly updates consistently and proactively, ensuring content remains accurate and up to date. Minimum Qualifications

Supervision
* Plan, assign and review work of retail staff.
* Adjust work assignments to respond to fluctuating workloads.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Pay rate: $16.66/hour - $22/hour
The successful candidate is expected to work up to 16 hours per week, hours flexible with student schedules. This position typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.
The temporary hourly employment is limited to the earlier of 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months beginning from the original date of hire. Per WAC 357-04-045, following 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months, an individual is not eligible for re-employment at Bellevue College in another temporary part-time hourly position. Temporary hourly employees who work more than three hundred fifty (350) hours in a twelve consecutive month period may be subject to provisions of one the collective bargaining agreements covering Classified employees at Bellevue College.
This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month. Eligible positions are eligible for certain benefits.

About the Department
The Information Technology Services (ITS) division is comprised of six departmental teams: The Office of the Vice President, Digital Media Services, Infrastructure, Integration, Technical Support Services, and Office of IT Business Operation. ITS supports all campus computing - both academic and administrative. The division manages networking and server components, performance and quality of all college websites, the web portal, software and application development, as well as data and administrative system support. ITS provides in-person workshops and training to faculty and staff, and offers an array of video production services including live streaming campus events as well as producing original programming to support college activities. ITS broadcasts 24/7 programming for the College and outlying community on the College Channel television station.

Essential Functions
Accounting systems design, development, implementation and operation
* Design, develop, install, integrate, coordinate and maintain all Foundation financial tracking systems.
* Provide hands-on management of Foundation financial systems including accounts payable, accounts receivable, allocations, closings, and reconciliations.
* Produce periodic and on-demand financial statements for Board, senior development staff.
* Report to College Units/Departments/Programs on their fund balance(s). Collaborate on spending plans and payments to and from the College.
* Communicate and coordinate with the Bellevue College Finance office in order to process payments to the College, and accept reimbursements from the College to the Foundation. Coordinate with college programs, departments, and clubs to establish and manage funds at the Foundation.
* Coordinate with Bellevue College Finance office to develop and improve documented coordination processes to align with best practices.
Regulatory compliance, filing, reporting and audits
* Interpret and apply Not-for-Profit Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), governmental, industry, funder and institutional regulations; continuously monitor best practices in not-for-profit governance, operations, and finance and GAAP rulings to keep Foundation practices current.
* Maintain investment policies that comply with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA).
* Coordinate work with outside auditors and tax preparers to produce external reporting to federal and state agencies including annual audits, IRS 990 state charities filings, including preparation of GAAP compliant statements and schedules substantiating all filings; reports to funders as required.
* Maintain the Foundation s financial policies.
Financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting
* Identify pertinent data, analyze complex financial and statistical data, create multi-variable models and forecast outcomes for senior management and Foundation board leadership; prepare budget proposals based on those models and forecasts.
* Coordinate budgets between Foundation, Bellevue College, Institutional Advancement and KBCS.
Financial leadership for the Foundation
* Coordinate with investment counsel to manage cash flow and investment reporting for the Foundation.
* Provide financial and strategic counsel to the VPIA/ED, and Foundation board leadership.
* Serve as staff liaison to the Foundation Finance committee of the board.
* Work effectively to accomplish goals set by the board Executive Committee, Finance Committee and the Treasurer, such as reporting & budgeting timeliness and detail. Timely audit and tax return filing, Investment return, some risk assessments, and policy and process improvements.
Budgets & Purchasing
* Develop operating budgets for the Foundation.
* Monitor Foundation spending; advise, and report on the actuals to budget.
* Prepare Foundation contracts and purchasing documentation.
* Ensure effective and compliant purchasing practices and procedures are followed

* Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration or similar. Relevant work experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
* Experience in progressively responsible accounting/financial positions, specifically in not-for-profit.
* Five years (5) experience conducting or supporting not-for-profit audits and IRS 990 preparation.

This role is suitable for a qualified TESOL instructor with a master s degree in TESOL or a TESOL graduate student who is currently enrolled in an MA TESOL program and has some prior ESL teaching experience.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Adjunct Professors are typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. The offer is contingent upon the availability of the courses.
Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6,418.75 -$7,824.65. Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.
Teaching hours: Monday- Friday in -person between the hours of 12:30pm-4:20pm.
Generous benefits package for eligible employees is offered through Washington State plans that includes multiple medical, dental, life and disability coverage choices for employees and dependents; choices of retirement and deferred compensation plans; paid personal leave plan; transit program, reduced tuition, employee discounts and memberships, etc. Eligible employees are faculty who work a combined load of at least 50% at Bellevue College and other Washington State public institutions of higher education for two consecutive quarters are eligible for health and dental insurance at the start of the second consecutive quarter.

The English Language Institute (ELI), a department of the Arts and Humanities Division at Bellevue College, is comprised of two intensive academic English programs. The University Preparation Program (UP) is an intensive, academic English program designed to prepare students for university study. Classes are offered across five levels and cover five different areas of English: reading, writing, grammar, listening, and speaking. The Academic Prep Bridge program is a one-quarter program where students learn and practice critical thinking, study skills, research techniques, and listening, speaking, reading, and writing in academic content areas.

About the Department
The Financial Aid Office in collaboration with Student Central supports the mission of Bellevue College by providing high quality, flexible and accessible services, which support student access to educational opportunities that advance pluralism, inclusion, and global awareness. Student Central provides complex comprehensive and confidential service and information for programs identified as Enrollment Services, Evaluations and Graduation, and Financial Aid. Services include; providing information and access to functions related to transfer and evaluation of credits, graduation, prior learning credit, residency application processes, registration and all other enrollment functions, in addition to financial aid application processes required to award funds needed to pay for college.
Essential Functions
Manage, Direct, and Coordinate All Aspects of the processing of third-party waivers, emergency grants, veterans program waivers, and financial aid outreach
* Advise and refer students on third party and veterans waivers and awarding, placement, and fund disbursement collaborating with other departments including Veteran Services and Finance staff to ensure students are properly counseled for funds available regarding their education.
* Advise students, faculty, staff, and other interested parties regarding rules and regulations related to third party waivers and work independently to resolve student problems or issues.
* Manage all aspects of the waiver process and serve as a backup to the emergency grant process to include SEAG (Student Emergency Assistance Grant), SSEH (Supporting Students Experience Homelessness), and Safety Net.
* Run the third-party queries from ctc Link monthly.
* Run over award queries from ctc Link monthly.
* Coordinate agency payments with Finance; ensure funds are added appropriately and adjust student account if over awarded. Manually update student records to reflect reconciliation of waiver and grant funds offered and disbursed.
* Responsible for running fund roster report and helping resolve any student funding issues.
* Gather data and report on activities as requested.
* Communicate with students by drafting letters that provide information to students regarding missing, or incomplete documentation, or the need for additional documentation.
* Manage the third-party waivers for eligibility, which includes not limited to interpreting Federal, State, and Institutional regulations, verification of credits, grades and attendance, and communication with students and supervisors
* Communicate with WSAC (Washington State Achievement Council), Finance, and Department of Education (ED) to ensure proper tracking of funds and disbursement to students as intended.
* Reconcile third party funds as needed or required within the systems of WSAC portal, Common Origination Disbursement (COD), ctc Link (Peoplesoft) and through communication with the Finance office.
* Use and analyze ctc Link Business Process Guide for reports and queries applicable to position.
* Coordinate and collaborate with State Board for Community and Technical Colleges to make sure software upgrades and developed processes meet state and federal requirements for third party waivers and emergency grants, this may include setting up, testing new processes, reporting issues, proposing solutions and feedback to ensure compliance with ED.
* Authorize program fund disbursements using the college ctc Link system.
* Clear less than full-time holds (FLF) from disbursements so funding can be released to students.
* Review and clear service indicators on student's accounts for financial aid holds.
* Lead financial aid outreach to include FAFSA/WASFA workshops, high school and community visits, and classroom visits.
* Certify and award National Guard Grant.
Analyze and Evaluate Documentation to Determine Financial Aid Completion and Student Eligibility, Audit Processes, and Award Federal and State Funding
* Review student files to ensure submission of required documents, accuracy of documents, and initial eligibility for financial aid funds.
* In accordance with federal regulations, complete V4 and V5 file reporting in ctc Link and the FAFSA Partner Portal.
* Apply specific policies and regulations to determine financial need, as defined by the Department of Education, and offer federal and state aid based on criteria and documents included in the student files and application data.
* Using data obtained from federal and state software programs and systems, analyze application and other information to determine eligibility for aid.
* Run queries that assist in streamlining processes for business processes.
* Analyze and evaluate documentation submitted by students and submit corrections to the federal processor as needed.
* Use Professional Judgment as defined by the Department of Education to make exceptions and change data elements included on the FAFSA and in the student's budget, based on student specific circumstances.
* Cross-train in other areas of Financial Aid, such as Pell, Census, R2T4, SAP, Loans, State Aid, Disbursements, Workforce, Work Study, Scholarships, and ISIRs to be a back up to specific programs.
Provide Technical Assistance with Applications and Processes and Provide Consultation and Problem Resolution to Students Related to all Student Central Services
* Create a welcoming environment for the diverse Bellevue College community
* Assist students with questions in all areas that make up Student Central. This work includes, financial aid rules and process information, registration processes and information, residency rules, testing rules and process information, and processes related to evaluation of credit and graduation.
* Independently counsel, answer frequent questions, problem solve, and provide technical assistance through in-person interactions, email, phone, Zoom/Teams virtual platform, and the online ticketing system about admissions, residency, registration, financial aid, transfer of credit, testing and placement, and graduation; provide comprehensive information, guidance, recommendations and resources.
* Interpret and explain financial aid policies and procedures to students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
* Communicate and follow rules and practices governing confidentiality laws such as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
* Work cooperatively with departments, staff, faculty and administrators across campus, and contribute to a diverse workplace through ideas or experience.
* Attend weekly training and Student Central meetings and provide suggestions for continuous improvement and efficient use of resources needed to improve service to students, student success, retention, and completion efforts.
* Provide additional assistance to FAFSA and WASFA students to complete applications or resolve issues regarding their applications.
* Monitor the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) of students and assist with quarterly SAP projects.

* Track legislative, Department of Education, the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC), and Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) issues as appropriate, and inform higher-level staff of changes to rules and regulations specific to third party waivers, agency payments, and emergency grants.
* Attend training conferences, and or other related information sessions when offered to remain current in policies, procedures, and regulations related to assigned programs.
* Participate in developing processes, policies, and procedures needed to stay in compliance with new or changing regulations and provide training to other staff related to student records and the assigned programs
* Anticipate problems or issues that may arise from changes to waivers, agency payments, and emergency grants and recommend action to avoid such problems or issues.
* Complete NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) and/or FSA (Federal Student Aid) Coach certifications related to verification, student eligibility and program specific related trainings.
Communicate with Students through Creation of Letters and Information Documents and Based on Specific Student Needs, Develop Resolution to Eligibility Issues and other Complex Problems
* Draft and send letters to notify students with issues or problems related to financial aid eligibility and missing information
* Create documents that offer clear steps students need to take to resolve eligibility issues and other problems.
* Update and maintain system letters related to student notification about missing checklists, offers, revised offers, exit letters, and all other letters generated from ctc Link
* Send letters that normally go out automatically through ctc Link and error, manually by individual email or by mail.
* Review website weekly for Financial Aid dashboard processing, quarterly for Financial Aid newsletter, yearly for forms, and as needed for any other Financial Aid updates.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
* Two (2) or more years full-time experience, or equivalent part-time experience, working in a financial aid office in a higher education setting, with a demonstrated ability to work in accordance with policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations

The Earth and Space Sciences program seeks dedicated and motivated individuals to teach courses in the fields of Astronomy, Geology, Environmental Science, Meteorology and/or Oceanography. Faculty may teach one or multiple subjects within the program, depending upon their experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success through teaching and learning excellence. The selected candidate will perform duties and functions with the support of the program chair of Earth and Space Sciences and will directly report to the Science Division Dean.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $6,418.75 - $7,824.65 Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

About the Department
The Earth and Space Sciences Program teaches a range of courses encompassing astronomy, environmental science, geology, meteorology, and oceanography. Approximately half of our course sections are hybrid or in-person, typically meeting between two to five times per week on the Bellevue College campus.
Essential Functions
* Teach a 6-credit combined lecture/lab class or a 5 credit Lecture class. Class sizes range from 28 to 36 students typically. Some astronomy sections are up to 55 students.
* Teach in face-to-face settings and/or synchronous and/or asynchronous virtual settings.
* Prepare course materials, including varied assessments of student knowledge.
* Design and facilitate learning experiences centered around student needs and interests by using varied instruction methods and resources.
* Hold weekly office hours in accordance with the current faculty contract and generally assist students in person one-on-one and/or both through electronic media and in-person.
* Use data, self-reflection, and student/colleague feedback to revise your instruction, improve student success and better serve historically underserved, underrepresented, or marginalized student populations (e.g., students with disabilities, Black and Indigenous students of color, first-generation college students, LGBTQIA+ students, veterans, English language learners, etc.).
* Grade and/or provide useful feedback to students in a way that promotes student understanding and improvement. Assign overall course grades.
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to student success through fostering a positive and caring learning environment where diversity and pluralism are valued.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master's degree from an accredited institution, in the field of astronomy, environmental science, geology, meteorology, oceanography or closely related fields.
* Experience teaching earth and space science and related courses at the college level or relevant skills to do so effectively. Ability to design in-person and online learning experiences that are interactive.
* Effective communication skills (to students and colleagues) in both written and oral form.
* Demonstrated ability to connect and build relationships with students and colleagues from varied ethnicities, ages, backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Teaching or professional experience in astronomy, environmental science, geology, meteorology, oceanography or closely related field.
* Experience completing tasks independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively teach in traditional, hybrid and fully online environments.
* Demonstrated experience working collegially with diverse colleagues in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development to maintain currency in oceanography (e.g., involvement in relevant professional activities or organizations, etc.

About the Department
The Bellevue College (BC) Custodial Services Department within Campus Operations supports the College's primary mission by cleaning and maintaining internal and external areas of all College Facilities and other assets. The department works in compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies by following BC's policies, follows and maintains safety procedures and follow-up Campus Operations program on accidents and safety prevention techniques. The department also follows APPA's Operational Guidelines as well as continuously improves work methods, knowledge of equipment, supplies and safety through participation in routine training sessions.
Essential Functions
Support and Maintain Cleanliness of College Facilities
* Maintain assigned area in clean, sanitized and safe condition according to Bellevue College (BC) s procedures.
* Cover other runs in accordance to need resulting from absentee, emergency clean up or other work-related needs of the BC's internal and external facilities;
* Support the Campus Operations department crews and the various departments, vendors and/or visitors in accordance to need.
Perform Custodial Tasks
* Clean, sanitize and disinfect various buildings, offices, rooms, labs, common areas, showers and restrooms.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, wax and polish floors, walls and woodwork, shampoo carpets, dust furniture and equipment; empty wastebaskets, trash, recycle and compost containers.
* Polish furniture, metal fixtures and wash windows.
* Upkeep building cleanliness by performing detail work during Summer/Fall/Winter/Spring breaks.
* Keep building entrances and walkways free of ice, snow, leaves, garbage and other debris.
* Operate machinery necessary to perform job including vacuum cleaners, blowers, disinfecting devices, scrubbers, upholstery cleaners, buffing machines, water extractors, carpet shampooers, pressure washers.
Upkeep Storage Closets, Facilities, Equipment and Supplies
* Stack and replenish supplies and products in designated areas.
* Keep designated areas properly supplied with Personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies as face masks, peroxide multi surface cleaner, paper towels, sanitizing hand gel and sanitizing wipes where applicable; supply paper products, soap, sanitary and menstrual supplies and other items.
* Replace furnishings, burned out light bulbs/fixtures and other miscellaneous objects.
* Upkeep the custodial storage room clean, maintain inventory of supplies and products as needed and the assigned equipment.
* Bring broken or unused equipment back to the warehouse.
Comply with State, Federal Laws and BC Policies, Procedures
* Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies by following BC's policies, procedures and direction.
* Follow and maintain safety procedures and follow-up Campus Operations program on accidents and safety prevention techniques.
Report Problems and Support BC Events
* Report building damage and malfunctions in a computerized facilities management system or reports damage on work request form.
* Set-up and break-down of campus functions and special events including stages, podiums, tables, chairs, partitions, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One (1) year custodial experience
* Knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the custodial work
* Demonstrated physical ability to do the required work, lift/push/or pull at a minimum 50 pounds
* Must be able to work with arms overhead, kneel, bend, crawl, squat and crouch repeatedly
* Ability to work off a ladder (up to 8 feet)
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in reading and writing
* Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
* Must be able to multi task and manage workload in fast-paced environment
* Must have basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Outlook), internet navigation, and email communication
* Demonstrated experience working with colleagues and students in a collaborative and inclusive environment
* Must have a valid Washington Driver License with two (2) years of driving experience
