Learn more at ***************************** Primary Job Duties: Optimize work center layouts, material flow and processes to improve productivity and eliminate waste Champion 5S and Lean Manufacturing culture on the shop floor Provide root cause analysis support to eliminate disturbances Improve product throughput by reducing cycle times, setup times, and overall lead time Work with production teams to drive KPI (key performance indicator) improvement Manage and coordinate product and equipment launches, installations and phase out activities Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety and environmental regulations Monitor and improve operational processes Create work instructions for assembled and fabricated components Commission new capital equipment in production Maintain knowledge of best-in-class processes for product configuration and assembly Direct and implement lean and green activities to support S&O's Lean Culture Work effectively with functions such as Safety, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and HR Other duties as assigned Primary Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Able to develop and maintain professional relationships with all departments Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality Able to complete assignments on time and on budget Demonstrated ability to work with others and in a team setting Must be a collaborative team player, but also be able to lead as necessary to drive and implement change Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and ERP software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks Qualifications: 5 or more years of manufacturing improvement experience CNC machining experience strongly preferred BS in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience Lean Certification is preferred Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and/or Power BI experience a plus Able to occasionally travel if needed Able to perform the physical demands of the job including: Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment Ability to use office, phone and computer equipment Prolonged periods of walking and standing Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Culture: Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring clear and respectful communication across all levels of the organization Actively drive change by encouraging and implementing cross-functional improvements that enhance operational efficiency and product quality Respectfully listen to concerns and ideas brought to your attention Respect confidentiality Embody our values of Integrity, Trust, Creativity and Courage, Teamwork, and Excellence Working Conditions: Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
