As a Senior Design Drafter, you will:
Contribute to conceptual design development by collaborating with DesignEngineers.
Prepare complete and often complex designs with minimal technical input, including layouts, schematics, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and parts lists for prototype and production release.
Perform complex redesigns and repackaging of existing products through proper component and hardware sizing and selection.
Execute engineering calculations related to sizing, performance, tolerance, and assembly.

Check and verify the work of junior drafting personnel for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure adherence to Moog and military standards for design documentation.
Assist Production in resolving manufacturing issues related to design.
Coordinate with Production to develop effective production control configurations (kit structure, alternate parts, revision control).
Maintain timely completion of assigned projects and deliverables.
To be considered for this role, you typically will bring:
Ten or more years of related design experience supported by a minimum of a two-year Engineering degree.
Extensive experience in high-performance, high-density packaging design.
Ability to work independently with minimal technical input and develop incomplete requirements into full design packages.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge, Utilization and competency in Model Based Definition (MBD) is highly desired.
Proficient experience and knowledge in utilization of Siemens NX 3D Mcad design software.

Purpose of the Position

Duties.
Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Assist Project Managers with business development activities, including meeting with clients.
Assist with preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $100,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
8-10+ years of progressive transportation design experience.
PE is required
Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects.
Experience with Microstation / AutoCAD. Inroads experience a plus.
General knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and standards.
Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills.

Purpose of the Position
This position is responsible for managing documents, equipment, tooling, and fixturing required to manufacture the diverse portfolio of products made by Kistler Instrument Corp. (KIC) Production Facility. The manufacturing engineer develops and troubleshoots manufacturing processes in order to improve product quality, cost, and/or lead-time. This includes investigation and proposal of new production equipment, process procedures, and methods to automate, improve, and/or scale-up new and existing processes.
Main Tasks
Provides technical support and improve manufacturing lines by specifying and/or refining BOMs, routings, work instructions, and test procedures.
Design, document, procure, qualify, implement, and improve fixtures, tools and equipment.
Provides documentation and training on assembly methods, test procedures, and production equipment.
Troubleshoots day-to-day process performance issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
Works closely with R&D engineering, quality, purchasing, and planning to ensure products meet specified requirements.
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Design layouts of equipment and workspaces in conjunction with Kistler's Lean Initiatives for maximum production efficiency.
Collaborates with R&D engineeringdesign staff to develop manufacturing methods for new products.
Responsible for change management and implementation for changes to manufacturing processes.
Identify and lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma tools to optimize production operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel up to 10% Local and International.
Requirements Profile
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year technical or engineering college or university and a minimum of 2-5 years' related experience or equivalent of education and experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work appropriately to meet commitments.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) relevant to manufacturing operations.
Experience with engineering change systems.
Ability to interpret and create (Solidworks preferred) complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Experience with LabVIEW or TestStand a plus.
Physical requirements: Ability to sit, stand and move about to accomplish tasks, Ability to work on Computers.
