Aerospace Engineer - Thermal Modeling Pay Rate: $59.27/hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering field. As a thermal modeling-focused aerospace engineer, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and systems ranging from advanced mission payloads to highly integrated aircraft platforms. What You'll Do Analyze and troubleshoot complex aircraft interior heat-transfer models, heat-exchanger flow paths, and exhaust plume impingement issues within the NC3 business area. Plan, schedule, execute, and report on thermal analysis campaigns for transport-category aircraft to support various engineering disciplines. Review and compile results from analysis teams and present findings to internal teams, leadership, and customers. Collaborate with flight test and ground test teams to plan and interpret test data used to validate analysis models or demonstrate certification compliance. Identify gaps within existing thermal analysis workflows, support training efforts, and recommend analysis tools to enhance program execution. Contribute to a team that integrates manned and unmanned aircraft systems for advanced ISR, aviation, and security applications. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with testing methods used to verify and validate thermal analysis models. Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Experience with system-level static and dynamic modeling and simulation. Hands-on experience with Siemens STAR-CCM+ and/or FLOEFD. Knowledge of standard aerospace principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, and fundamentals of flight mechanics.
