Through collaboration, generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in compressed periods of time. -Travel up to 80% domestically although travel intensity can be variable and consist of up to three weeks in a row, including weekends. A day in the life You are managing quality of implementation through multiple projects that can vary in scope, complexity and duration. Daily tasks may comprise of site coordination with operations teams and contractors on project execution activities or changes; deep diving project progress, schedule and resources, while identifying barriers, creating solutions and driving resolutions. You may be facilitating the planning and/or implementation meetings with projects' stakeholders, ensuring alignment in objectives, expectations, and the next steps; you would capture and publish detailed notes after each meeting to drive ownership and follow-through on the actions and decisions. The Mechanical Designer position is responsible for generating design documents working from sketches, marked-up drawings, and/or vendor information provided by project engineers or senior designers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow established AutoCAD standardization as provided in Roeslein's Engineering / Drafting Standards and utilize established drawing formats and design details from previous projects as directed by the Engineering Design Manager. Job ID#215081** **Job Description:** Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design including electrical systems and subsystems design, interface cable design between electrical system and platform, electrical hardware/software integration, coordination with vendors for part selection, and general test experience to do hardware/software testing of the system in a lab. Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factor Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interface Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons) Experience with product/systems development and integration **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** Experience or knowledge of cyber security principals or cyber certifications Experience or knowledge of network desigh Experience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.) Experience with CAD and creating electrical schematics Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management). Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) CompTia Security + Certification **Education / Experience:** Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Preferred Qualifications: * 0-4 years of natural gas engineering experience, preferably at an engineering consulting firm. * Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation or other 2D and 3D modeling software (drafting will likely not be part of your role, but experience with the software our drafters and designers use is still very valuable).
