Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They provide premier engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support.
Manufacturing Engineersdesign, control, and improve the manufacturing process and system design through a collaborative effort with the value stream team. You would apply your skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost and improve productivity, while maintaining a high level of safety in the manufacturing environment and quality within the product. The Manufacturing Engineering team in Andover, MA is seeking a second shift manufacturing engineer.
What You Will Do
Developing, maintaining, and reviewing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
Supporting a manufacturing area as part of cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making
Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
Ability to travel as required
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
1 year of manufacturing experience

Experience with the implementation of lifting and movement requirements for various sized assemblies and equipment
