The Platform Integration Department leads mechanicaldesign, development and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, interconnects, as well as facility development and site integration. The department is seeking motivated and driven mechanicalengineers with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration and production support. As a senior mechanicalengineer the individual will support and lead multi-disciplined engineering teams and provide mechanical solutions and services across all program phases. Areas of focus can encompass development of next generation systems, design development for existing products, transition to production, product support, vendor oversight, and field upgrades.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Perform complex mechanicaldesign, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements
Oversee small to mid-sized cross functional engineering teams as a technical execution lead through all phases of development from proposal generation, program start up, requirements allocation, preliminary and detailed development, through production.
