Emerald Engineering is seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer / Engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or someone who has completed a technical drafting program (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and is eager to begin building a career in mechanical/HVAC design.
In this role, you will support the design of mechanical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial and high-rise residential buildings, working closely with experienced engineers and designers who will help you develop your technical skills, industry knowledge, and production capabilities.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Tampa, FL (33619) headquarters. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of our office.
Role Responsibilities
Assist in the design and production of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, piping, and other related mechanical components.
Create and revise AutoCAD and/or Revit drawings, 3D models, and construction documents under the guidance of senior staff.
Support engineers with calculations, equipment selection, and basic system layouts.
Help prepare project deliverables such as plans, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate with internal team members to ensure accurate, high-quality design documents.
Participate in site visits to document existing conditions (with team guidance).
Maintain organized project files and support overall project workflow.
What You'll Bring to Emerald
Associate degree or technical program certification in drafting/design OR bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit from coursework, training, or hands-on projects.

Our Tampa location is our newest addition to the SESCO Cement locations. With the terminal being in the construction phase, you will be part of the ground up growth of the terminal as it is moves towards completion. Once operational, you will work to continually improve the site through other projects as needed.
Responsibilities
This role will be heavily active in the field during the construction phase of a project, coordinating with subcontractors and crews, verifying quality of work, answering engineering questions and/or resolving issues that may pop up in real time.
Assist in development of project plan as requested. Specifically, provide support to Project Manager(s) through helping to develop business cases by gathering requirements, building investment decision models, etc.
Collaborate with the Project Manager(s) in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
Prepare and forward submittals. Confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
Administer subcontracts as assigned.
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings.
Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
Aid in close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors.
Act as the point person for document management applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 1-4 years of experience in the related field.
Working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and prepare them when applicable.
Ability to read and understand Project financial documents and budgets and prepare them when applicable.
MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience preferred.

· Post processing of aircraft test data and preparation of simulator verification data roadmaps.
· Development of aircraft aerodynamic and engine simulation math models, and software to execute these models in real-time.
· Integrate simulation models, including aircraft OEM models, with simulator hardware, computers, software, and other simulated systems.
· Preparation of simulator qualification test guides and acceptance test procedures.
· Participation in domestic and international simulator acceptance and qualification events with customers, military organizations, and commercial regulatory agencies.
· Preparation of math model reports and associated simulator documentation.
· Participation in system requirements, design, and test reviews.
· Collaborate with other multi-disciplined engineering groups to ensure that overall simulator performance and quality standards are achieved.
· Maintain currency with the latest domestic and international flight simulator regulations and technologies.
· Provide technical content for proposals and technical specifications.
Qualifications EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:· Bachelor's degree required in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field· Minimum 2 years of experience required, preferably in developing/integrating flight dynamic models and creating Qualification Test Guides (QTGs) in the flight simulation industry QUALIFICATONS:· In-depth understanding of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft flight dynamics.
