Job Mission
An exciting summer intern opportunity to support the Cymer DUV MechanicalEngineering (MDEV) team. In this role you will be exposed to complex engineering systems and problems and will assist and support the MDEV team to develop the next generation of DUV lithography excimer laser systems.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
The MechanicalEngineeringinternship offers opportunities to make significant and lasting contributions to the Cymer's excimer laser technology and associated development processes.
Your Assignment
Key areas for support are mechanical design and analysis of parts and assemblies
Integration, characterization, and testing of excimer laser parts, assemblies, and modules
Finite element analysis, computational flow dynamics; structural dynamics, vibrational characterization
Collection and documentation of mechanicalengineering best practices

Education and Experience
Minimum 60 hours completed towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field and an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
Some experience / knowledge of / familiar with designing or working with mechanical parts (machined, sheet metal, molded) and mechanical assemblies.
Some experience / knowledge of / familiar with CAD software packages (solid modeling and detailed drawings), Creo preferred.
Some experience / knowledge of / familiar with finite element analysis (FEA) software packages, ANSYS or Creo preferred.
Awareness of GD&T and mechanical tolerance analysis and its fundamentals.
Hands on fabrication and integration of mechanical assemblies or mechanisms is a plus
Some understanding and exposure to manufacturing equipment would be ideal (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, etc.)

How will I contribute?
As a MechanicalEngineer Intern, you will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables. Mechanical Interns focus on the design and engineering of HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing, fire protection, and other building support systems into the built work environment. Typical tasks and deliverables include load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, design reports, code evaluations, plans, schedules, installation details, specification and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners. Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and engineering software.

* Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
* Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
* Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).

Basic Qualifications:
Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Economics or a related field
Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA with at least 60 hours of coursework completed
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have experience with MS Office software, including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
Must be a self-starter, excel in time management, and work well under pressure
Must be available to work in various settings such as in office or remotely, depending on department needs.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $23- $28 per hour. HV Project Engineer Intern

The Intern - HV Project Engineer intern (Field) supports the design, administration, and execution of high-voltage (HV) and EPC project activities to achieve project profitability, compliance, and schedule goals. Assist in developing preliminary engineering guidance documents, material specifications, and detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
Work with Procurement to specify main circuit equipment; review vendor quotes for technical compliance.
Assist with vendor selection, approval drawings, and expediting; verify specifications are met and make recommendations.
Project Engineering & Field Support
Participate in functional testing as a witness; support substation energization and PV energization/initial synchronization.
Demonstrate and maintain safe work practices in energized substations and field environments.
Project Controls & Document Management
Update and maintain drawing sets, specifications, and document logs (submittals, RFIs, approvals, expediting).
Prepare document distributions to subcontractors and maintain RFI logs within CMS systems.
Assist with maintenance and updates of CPM schedules; determine weekly labor production quantities.
Input data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys; support project filing system maintenance.
Assist with project documentation.
Participate in regular team meetings/calls and take accurate meeting minutes.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
