Sifts sand over pattern and compacts sand around pattern contours. Shovel and pack sand into flasks using tools such as a ramrod. Use a hoist to position the flask onto the pallet, remove the pattern flask by hand. Assist in other areas and departments as needed. Qualifications & Physical Demands Ability to apply sound judgment and understanding to carry out one-to-two-step instructions. Capacity to deal with standardized situations. Molders are regularly required to stand 100% of their shift and frequently required to walk. Uses all of their upper (i.e., hands, arms, etc.) to complete molds. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, steel toe metatarsal shoes/boots, & safety glasses must be worn while on the production floor and performing this role.
