Screen, identify, and verify patients using approved Department of Veterans Affairs patient-identification procedures prior to imaging examinations. Explain Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures to patients, secure patient cooperation, and provide care that ensures patient safety, comfort, and dignity. Adhere strictly to Veterans Health Administration Magnetic Resonance Imaging safety requirements, including magnetic field safety, infection control practices, and patient screening protocols. Position patients appropriately and select imaging protocols and technical parameters to ensure optimal diagnostic image quality. Review Magnetic Resonance Imaging images for completeness, diagnostic quality, correct labeling, and proper annotation prior to submission for Radiologist interpretation.     At NorthBay Health the C/T Technologist performs general radiographic studies, according to established Q.A. criteria. Scans and organizes images, completes required paper work and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Performs bedside radiography. Assists with clerical duties. AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required. Experience: Two or more years of experience in general radiology, at least one year of C/T. Skills: Some clerical and computer experience.
