Follow all established safety protocols, including magnetic field safety, to avoid accidents or injuries. Professional Development and Training: Stay current with the latest MRI technology, scanning techniques, and patient care practices. Participate in continuing education programs and obtain necessary certifications to maintain licensure and improve professional skills. Assist in training new MRI technologists or students on the operation of MRI machines and best practices in patient care.

Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. h. Verifies documentation for and assists a licensed physician practitioner with procedures. i. Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures. j. Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures. k. Prepares, operates, and cares for equipment and other technical instruments used for administration of contrast agents, patient monitoring, and to insure safety within the area. l. Prepares, identifies, and administers contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. m. Evaluates images for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, and provides hard copy records assuring proper identification is recorded. n. Initiates basic life support actions when necessary. o. Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures when necessary. 2. Provides patient education by describing tests and procedures to patients, family members, or other responsible parties. 3. Assumes responsibility for assigned area and report equipment malfunction. This includes appearance and cleanliness of area and restocking of area supplies. 4. Provides input for supply decisions. 5.
