The BASS Radiation Oncology Department is seeking a Staff Radiation Therapist to join a forward-thinking team committed to creating and maintaining a culture of collaboration amongst the entire team to provide accurate, innovative and compassionate care to the patients utilizing Elekta VersaHD and Viewray MRIdian Linac. The successful candidate is responsible for administering therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation; using advanced level linear accelerators and other treatment units; and record and verify treatment software; as well as simulating patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologists. They reliably and accurately document treatments delivered, and respectively and compassionately interact with patients. Duties: Deliver accurate, efficient and reproducible radiation therapy treatments as indicated by prescription. Proper use of a linear accelerator, use of beam monitoring equipment, TLDs, use of appropriate treatment devices, and correct chart and port film documentation.
