Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of a Radiology program of study with specialization and training in MRI
One years' experience as an MRI Tech
Valid Radiology/MRI license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current ARRT or equivalent certification
Current ARMRIT or equivalent certification
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality 3D images used in medical diagnosis. They interact directly with patients and administer intravenous injections of contrast dye as needed and collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnostic results. MRI Technologists are responsible for maintaining equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
Essential Work Functions:
Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Educate patients on MRI procedure and answers questions if they arise
Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctions
Start I.V.s and administer contrast media per orders and protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactions
Monitor image quality during procedures and make adjustments to scanning parameters for optimal diagnostic results
Document all procedure details, including imaging parameters and patient observations, in compliance with hospital policies
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and timely delivery of results
Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and hospital policies
Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of an MRI Technologist
Required Essential Skills:

Understands MRI safety concepts and executes them diligently and consistently to maintain magnet safety for patients, guests, self, and fellow caregivers.
Understands MRI scanning parameters and, in coordination with the radiologist, selects appropriate technical parameters and scanning techniques to ensure clinical exams are of good quality.
Ensures proper patient identification, order identification, and prepares the patient appropriately for the exam.
Performs MRI examinations according to system and department standard protocols.
Understands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates appropriate anatomical positioning and multiplanar image reconstruction.
Under the direction of the radiologist or supervising clinician, performs contrast and medication administration inherent to MRI examination,
Maintains competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job.
Follows appropriate Intermountain policy and procedure including clinical documentation, billing, and electronic medical record workflows.

JOB SUMMARY: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists will provide patient care support. Technologists are responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adhere to established standards.
POSITION INFORMATION: This will be a Full-time position, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of specialized with and without contrast material CT examinations.
Responsible for providing care across the range of Radiology Technologist services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility. The standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards.
Critiques images for quality and notifies the Radiologist and/or CT Supervisor of significant exams requiring immediate attention while the patient is undergoing examination.
Ensures all documentation required for the completion of the exam is complete in data entry systems.
Uses judgment and initiative, relying on established protocols and past practice when a difficult decision must be made.
Prepares contrast material for fluoroscopic and special procedures under the direction of the Radiologist for the purpose of performing imaging examinations.
Must be continuously on the alert to the patient's condition and other disorders. Adverse reactions on the part of the patient require immediate attention so that harm does not come to the patient or equipment.
*Must adhere to 2024 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) standards /guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Certification: RT Certification from ARRT is required and CT Certification is required, Basic Life Support (BLS).
License: Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S and/or certification as required.

This job is right for you if you have the flexibility to travel to Intermountain's different locations in Utah and Idaho for 8-13 week assignments. You must feel comfortable working in multiple units within your specialty.
Pay and living stipend will be competitive with local and national travel MRI Technologists rates. We will evaluate pay and living stipend every quarter and adjust based on market trends. Each assignment will have a consistent pay rate but can change when a new assignment is given.
For assignments greater than 50 miles from the employee's home, housing reimbursable amounts are determined by the assigned site location and receipts are required to be submitted within 30 days of transaction date. The caregiver is responsible for finding their own housing during each travel assignment.
All iFlex employees will be expected to travel to all geographies and able to work at all Intermountain sites. The management team will work with each Technologist on assignments and will take all preferences and needs into consideration.
