Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Terre Haute, Indiana. Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC)

Summary:
CVOR surgical technologists facilitates the safe and effective execution of cardiovascular surgical procedures under the supervision of the surgeon. They are responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile environments, ensuring equipment functionality, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maximize patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Essential Work Functions:
Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures
Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment to ensure proper functionality prior to procedures
Assist in transporting patients to and from surgery as required
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to deliver coordinated care
Anticipate the surgeon's needs, efficiently passing instruments to maintain procedural flow
Handle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity and follow institutional protocols
Collaborate with other health team members to ensure seamless surgical workflow
Maintain sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
Utilize data from surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and surgeon
Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart surgeries
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

During our comprehensive training process, you will learn the following responsibilities for the Entry Level Monitoring Technician (LDAR) position which are located onsite at our client sites:
Daily monitoring of components to detect leaking equipment (valves, pumps, connectors, etc.) which can be a source of emissions and volatile hazardous air pollutants
Perform and record calibrations on analyzers after use
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on analyzers
Identify and report changes to components while performing monitoring
Identify and report new or removed components while performing monitoring
Identify and report Audio Visual Olfactory (AVO) leaks, Open-Ended Lines (OEL)
Identify and report components with missing identification tags
Support leak repair activities at customer work sites as required
Complete Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) daily
Complete Equipment and Vehicle Inspections as required
Complete daily paperwork (job summary, component change forms, missing tags, etc)
Attend and participate in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings
Complete all safety and knowledge trainings as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to be on your feet for 8-10+ hours per day on uneven ground (concrete, rock, grass, mud/dirt, etc.), while wearing the monitoring backpack (weighing up to 25 lbs.) as well as carry other equipment as needed (ladders, water coolers, etc.)
Love being outdoors, working safely in all weather conditions
Ability and desire to climb stairs and ladders to high heights (up to 300ft)
Ability to understand and use hand-held device, and have some mechanical abilities (preferred)
Reliable transportation to the worksites is required

The Multimodality Tech performs any combination of Radiographic Imaging procedures on ambulatory, and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, and/or hospital setting as requested by a Physician or other licensed Provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The Multimodality Tech must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
General Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Accurately orders tests from outpatient orders; faxes reports (EMR and manual), and scans orders and reports; accurately enters diagnosis codes into EMR and obtains signed ABNs when necessary.
Ensures correct patient identity using two patient identifiers.
Performs tests within standardized time frames; checks the majority of images for technical quality prior to releasing patient; places files with other required paperwork; ensures documentation is accurate and complete.
Explains the test/procedure to patient and/or family; makes sure patient/family has basic understanding of procedure to alleviate fears and apprehension and gain patient's cooperation; shows willingness to answer questions; gives patient full and undivided attention while in presence of patient and demonstrates a sense of caring.
Assesses work needs and completes tasks in order of priority in the assigned work area.
Ensures safe and up to date working knowledge of all imaging equipment; follows standard precautions and uses equipment safely and appropriately; conducts appropriate radiation safety practices.
Completes routine daily, weekly and monthly cleaning; maintains department equipment and assists with calibration of equipment; ensures proper documentation is completed.
