Eligible for 5% shift differential Performs cleaning, upkeep, and minor maintenance of facilities and assigned areas, including any combination of duties such as mopping, dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming, emptying trash, moving furniture, and setup and takedown of facilities for special events throughout the College district.
Essential Duties:
* Cleans offices, student activity areas and classrooms, and maintains cleanliness and services in designated lavatories.
* Performs setups for special events and community affairs such as erecting staging, risers, bleachers and all other related equipment.
* Assists and backs-up public safety in locking up and securing all doors, and maintains surveillance of campus.
* Assembles and moves furniture as needed.
* Cleans and maintains various floor surfaces including stripping, refinishing and buffing of hard floors and shampooing and extracting of carpets.
* Operates heavy cleaning and scrubbing equipment.
* Collects trash, disposable, and recyclable materials and delivers to refuse pick-up area.
* Drives the various campus vehicles necessary to perform required assigned duties.
* Removes and disposes of bio-hazardous waste, including site cleanup.
* Assists security, grounds and maintenance as required.
* Prioritizes and ensures completion of work orders.
* Contributes to creating a positive work environment
Additional Duties:
* Removes snow from stairway and walkway and applies applications of ice melt.
* Responsible for power washing of walkways etc.
* Removes graffiti inside and outside of building.
* Repairs equipment.

Salary Placement
Initial salary placement will be based on years of relevant full-time equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws. Public Safety Officer (Part-Time)

Under the direction of a Lead Public Safety officer or higher official, performs general duty public safety work in the protection of life and property throughout the college. Utilizing established procedures, responds and takes appropriate action in the event of crime, fire, or medical emergencies. Conducts foot, bicycle and vehicle patrols on the college property to enforce state, federal and local laws, and college policy and regulations related to Public Safety.
Essential Duties:
* Conducts foot and vehicle patrol of college property, makes inquiries regarding incidents, conducts crowd control as needed, and issue warnings or citations to enforce the college motor vehicle regulations and other public safety rules. Assists other jurisdictions while they are on college property
* Applies and understands criminal law, conducts preliminary investigations of crimes, accidents and other incidents occurring on college property which includes interviewing witnesses and victims and assures appropriate disposition of such incident.
* Places individuals under citizen's arrest when necessary; provides appropriate custody of persons, conducts consent searches, inventories property, and uses limited force when appropriate as defined by use of force policy
* Performs security and safety checks of college grounds and facilities. Secures and provides authorized access to college facilities.
* Identifies safety hazards and assists first responders in cleanup of hazardous material incidences.
* Takes appropriate action in response to intrusion, fire, and panic alarms.
* Acts as first responder to fires, medical emergencies, and potentially dangerous situations. Evaluates circumstances, coordinates outside responses, secures hazardous area, and performs as an emergency first responder providing first aid and CPR to injured person. Provides initial on-scene incident command in emergency situations.
* Provides jump starts, vehicle unlocks, and safety escorts to students, employees and visitors.
* Prepares incident, crime, medical, and other special reports for college and law enforcement use as necessary. Maintains records and logbooks as required.
Additional Duties:
* Operates main switchboard and directs calls as necessary
* Provide Public Safety coverage at Maywood
* Participates in emergency drills and events
* Participates in judicial proceedings such as appearing in court as arresting officer or witness and providing testimony; appearing at college administrative hearings to give testimony; and delivering all property, evidence and relevant information to appropriate agencies
* Enforces animal, alcohol, and tobacco free regulations
* Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED
* Beginner-level skills in filing, data entry, and Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook.
* Intermediate-level skills in keyboarding and Microsoft Word
* Current driver license, insurance, and the ability to be insured by the college insurance carrier. Must have at least three (3) years of driving history

JOB INFORMATION This position is responsible for performing instructional and student support duties that facilitate activities of the Computer Information Systems Program, the Cybersecurity Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the IT apprenticeship. This position supports operation of the Center and assists with maintenance of the lab and equipment, participates in the development of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and provides support to students including advising, learning reinforcement activities, and feedback. * Develops individual and group relationships with students enrolled in the CIS program to support certificate and degree completion

Lab Support

* Provides assistance and support to students and/or faculty in the use of applicable equipment and technology resources; monitors use of equipment to ensure appropriate utilization of equipment
* Maintains schedule for facility utilization. Prepares and maintains related records including tracking student lab usage
* Coordinates CAE lab computers in cooperation with the college IT department. Help Desk requests to IT as needed
* Performs basic facility maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for lab patrons
* Oversees and maintains department inventory, supplies, equipment, reference materials, and other related items to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the CAE. Works in coordination with the Dean's office to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are in place

We are seeking a flexible, part-time Healthcare Interpreter Instructor to join our adjunct faculty pool. This grant-funded position (with potential for extension) involves instructing students in the classroom, primarily during evening and weekend hours. Job Summary
Ensures patron safety, and performs patron surveillance; responds quickly and renders aid in an emergency. Completes reports and required record keeping. Performs minor facility maintenance and custodial tasks. Promotes and cultivates an environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion, and engages in evidence-based decision-making, while supporting the mission, goals, and values of the department and college.
Essential Duties
* Enforces pool regulations and educates patrons about pool rules and water safety. Prevents accidents in or around the water through constant and effective patron surveillance.
* Recognizes emergencies and performs aquatic emergency rescues and first aid when necessary and in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines.
* Provides excellent internal and external customer service and respectfully engages with all patrons and staff at the aquatic center.
* Ensures pools, decks, changing areas, and staff areas of the aquatic center are kept clean and orderly.
* Completes required forms and documentation of day-to-day functions and safety checks within the aquatic center.
* Completes chemical checks of pool water. Assists with other basic maintenance tasks as needed.
* Attends required in-service trainings.

* Must be at least 16 years of age

Physical Requirements
Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes, and swim 20 yards to retrieve a 10-pound object off the bottom of the largest pools at any time; must have sufficient physical fitness and swimming ability to reach a patron within 30 seconds within the zone of coverage, which may be over 30 yards from guard station; must be able to deliver emergency equipment poolside (automated external defibrillator, bag-vale masks, backboard) within 30 seconds of emergency notification; must be able to move equipment reels on deck and move equipment into and out of the pools.
Environment
Works variable schedule and exhibits regular and predictable attendance. Work may be performed in an office and recreation facility. Work may be performed in an outdoor or indoor facility during variable weather conditions.
