Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
* Offer genuine client service at all times and maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude at all times.
* Medication consultation on refills and new medications. This is something unique to our industry. Since the veterinarian acts as the pharmacist, it allows the pharmacy technicians to do consultations! (Does this sound a little overwhelming? Don't worry, we will cover this in your 90-training period)
* Work closely with the veterinarians to process prescription refills. Process and fill medications for Out-Patient and In-Hospital patients. Approximately 450 prescriptions a day
* A good knowledge of basic human drugs (brand names and generic names) is a minimum requirement and we will train you on animal specific medications
* Basic computer skills and ability to enter patient chart and medical notes into the computer record
* Ability to receive multiple oral and written instructions, and efficiently and accurately perform them in a timely manner
* Take phone calls regarding prescription refills and inquiries from clients, veterinary technicians, and outside pharmacies
* Comfortable around animals, clients, and medical procedures (while delivering medications you may see medical procedures taking place)
* Deliver medications & prescription formula food to client's cars in our parking lot
* Have excellent communication skills (written and oral) and incredible attention to detail.

In this role, you will be performing collections for individuals required to complete drug screens as part of their conditions with the criminal legal system or mental health treatment. Our facility includes a fully equipped ICU, a ventilator, full clinical lab with 2 TEG 5000 unites, three modern surgical suites with minimally invasive surgery capabilities, C-arm, as well as on-site CT and MRI.
