Laser Operator Morton, Ill - Production $19.31 to $31.45/ Hour, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, 401K, Profit Sharing We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our 1st Shift team. Our 1st shift operates from 7:00AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday for (5) eight-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch at noon. Overtime is frequently available and sometimes required. The ideal candidate will have experience in laser operation and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments Maintain a clean and safe work environment Document production activities and part specifications Collaborate with engineers and team members Assist in training junior machinists Follow all safety protocols and company policies Requirements Proven experience as a manual machinist Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong understanding of machining processes Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail Basic math and computer skills Strong problem-solving skills Commitment to workplace safety Potential hazard exposures may include: cuts and abrasions from using hand tools, cuts from metals, heavy lifting, fumes and/or airborne particles, pinch points near machinery, extreme temperatures, slip and fall hazards.
