The Machinist III is responsible for maintaining Quality standards on one or more of our CNC vertical, horizontal Mills and Bridge Mills. The Machinist III sets up and performs a wide range of machining operations, using various machine tools, jigs, and fixtures in the production of a wide variety of product parts as well as tooling items. The Machinist III will write programs for performing simple machining operations. Machinist III must possess a high degree of proficiency in geometric dimensioning and applying this skill to the machining of a weldment.
*Waconia Machinist III is responsible for maintaining Quality standards on CNC Vertical Mills.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have, good knowledge of all aspects of machining.
Must have, ability to diagnosis problems on machining and tooling.
Must have, ability to interpret blueprints with GD&T
Must be consistent in following standard work instructions and properly machine products as defined by standard work. (Set-up docs, quality check sheets, CNC programs)
Recognize problems, offer ideas using Lean Methodology tools for continuous improvements.
Must maintain a high level of quality of parts machined per our quality standards.
Must successfully use, any precision inspection measuring equipment i.e., Micrometers, calipers, inside and outside gauges, bore gauges.
Responsible for meeting machining standards and achieve daily requirements. Such as (HRxHR, and MDI)
Responsible for upkeep on their machines (Autonomous Maintenance, chip removal, tooling, etc.)
Must have knowledge interpreting CNC programs and modify CNC programs through change form process as needed.
All other duties that are asked by management to be done for the best interest of the company, its customers, and its employees.

QUALITIFCATIONS:Typically requires an Applied Science Degree in Machine Tool Technology (Preferred).
High school education or equivalent including additional technical training in an approved machinist program.
A minimum of 1-2 years of machining experience.
Demonstrated shop math skills, knows feeds and speeds, and can develop or improvise tooling.
Ability to use a variety of machine tools, related jigs, fixtures, and attachments.
Exercises good judgement to determine proper sequence and set-up of complicated work.
Ability to demonstrate good dexterity to operate controls on lathes and other machine tools in forming and shaping parts.
Demonstrated ability to keep close tolerances consecutively.
Ability to adjust as necessary to assure accuracy to job specifications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The company fosters a manufacturing-type environment. Moderately heavy work requires the occasional lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds or less. In the performance of essential duties, the incumbent may be required to operate a variety of industrial machining tools.

We are seeking a motivated Mold Maker to join the team at our brand-new product development facility in Plymouth, MN. This role will provide an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of mold building and will provide opportunities for future growth, training, and development.
The primary responsibilities of this role are to build injection molds and related tools/components which are manufactured and maintained to a high degree of quality. This is an intermediate level role and will work closely with and under direction of other senior Mold Makers. The Mold Maker ensures ProMed's brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed.
Schedule: Flexible day shift hours. Shift typically starts between 4:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Get out early on Fridays!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Fabricate precision injection molds from CAD models and drawings that meet dimensional specifications and quality standards, ensuring manufacturing processes achieve required tolerances
Collaborate with senior mold makers to gain further experience with all aspects of mold building, maintenance/repairs, and injection molding
Independently set up, program, and operate multiple types of CNC machining equipment including 3 and 5-axis mills, sinker EDM, and grinders with minimal supervision, producing precise medical injection molds that meet tight tolerances
Modifies or repairs existing molds, fixtures, etc. in accordance with engineering drawings, solid models, or verbal instructions.
Conduct comprehensive quality inspections of in-process and finished mold components to ensure conformance with engineering specifications and customer requirements
Maintain machining equipment with routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime
Contribute to individual and team continuous improvement activities
Observe and adhere to all safety expectations, procedures, and regulations

Summary:
This position will be responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of CNC Mill Machines. Use of tools to perform progressive machining operations on a variety of standardized work, having close tolerances and finish requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
The ability to operate and set-up CNC Mill Machines.
Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimension & configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates.
Revise program if needed to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
Use shop equipment, overhead cranes, chains, slings, and forklifts in a safe manner.
Communicate with co-workers/supervisors to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Prefer a degree from a two-year technical school.
3+ years of CNC Mill Machine or relevant shop experience
Programming experience with Surf Cam or Mastercam, is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, written instructions, and processing.
Epicor ERP Software experience is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sets-up, operates, and verifies the quality of work on a wide variety of CNC Milling machines involving close tolerances and difficult set-ups. Performs routine or repetitive operations in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
SCHEDULE: 1st shift; Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm OR 2nd shift; Monday - Thursday,3:30pm to 2:00am.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
* Monitors variations in sequence, e.g., positioning, cycle time, etc., and makes necessary corrections.
* Performs repeat set-ups without supervision. May perform more complex set-ups with supervision.
* Works from drawings and/or specifications with direction from the Team Leader.
* Troubleshoots routine jobs without supervision and more complex jobs with supervision.
* Runs production and deburrs parts as required.
* Studies specifications, blueprint, drawings or sample prototypes to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts.
* Select and align tooling, fixtures and attachments for machining.
* Adjust machine to produce a conforming product.
* Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machine.
* Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized.
* Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely, and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
* Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment.
* Conform to the company quality system as documented.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school education or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of Vo-Tech training in machine tool technology or a related area or equivalent.
* EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 5 to 7 years of Mill machine set-up and operating experience in a job shop environment.
* PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Lift up to 40 pounds.
* LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
* SKILLS ABILITIES: Very strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
