Job Description: Biomerics has immediate openings for talented CNC Machine Operator at our facility in Monroe, CT. Working in a team environment, this individual will ensure that automated manufacturing processes are producing optimal results. Representative Responsibilities: Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines. Set up and run first pieces to verify that the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly. Requirements Desired Skills, Talent, and Qualifications: Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice, (actual machining experience a plus) Hands-on experience with assembly, debug, and troubleshooting Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Must have strong attention to detail. Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment. Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills. Your Challenge: Set up and operate complex milling jobs with minimal supervision ensuring part conforms to specifications and requirements. Make necessary modifications or adjustments. Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets. Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages and dial calipers. Hold tight tolerances associated with the machining of precision parts. Work from established practices and overhaul manual instructions and procedures to perform a variety of duties to prepare parts for subsequent operations.
