PURPOSE The purpose of the CNC Operator position is to accurately perform tasks according to work instructions that are related to machining of SMC components The CNC Operator fully manages the machining tasks and maintenance necessary to produce SMC components and will complete the following tasks for their role: Set Up: perform machine change overs to manufacture different components based on daily assignments. This work typically is performed on a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, or CNC Punch Press. Prepare: use blueprints to set the machine to the job's specifications, insert the tooling needed, and gather the necessary materials for the job assignment.
