Communicate operational issues, delays, and improvements to supervisors and team members.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of machine tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Requirements:
• Technical training or certification in CNC machining or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with CNC machine programming (G-code) is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.

Summary
Perform all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of company products. Equipment likely to include 5-axis CNC creep feed grinders, conventional EDMs, and 5-axis turn/mills. Machinists planned to be cross-trained to run these varying types of machines and be responsible for multiple machines running simultaneously.
Duties/Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
Operates manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets. Learns machines for other processes and programs.
Change, set and adjust precision tools as required
Load and delete programs in the computer
Make minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine.
Grind own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools).
Consistently maintain specific tolerances and accurately perform dimensions
Check parts using specified gages or check parts using furnished fixtures to see that dimensions are being maintained.
Perform routine maintenance checks, reporting improper machine function and/or check parts not being held to the proper dimensions
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Follow all applicable safety rules and precautions.
Other job related duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity:
This role will implement the programmes as designed by the CNC programmer to manufacture components to customer specifications and prescripted aircraft standards on the CNC Machines.
Location: Stuart, Florida - Onsite Role. AWW 1st shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
Participate in a positive and proactive EHS culture across the site.
Perform CNC operations using a variety of different machines - including lathes, milling, and Laser equipment.
Understand, interpret and work to Engineering drawings and to work to tight tolerances.
Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
Develop tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
Working in conjunction with the manufacturing engineers and CNC programmer, operate the CNC to meet the daily production targets.
Produce and edit NC programs via the machine control and/or ISO code.
Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current processes by improving productivity.
Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilising root cause and analysis tools.
Sharing knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.
Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations. (I.e. Yellow Belt LEAN Manufacturing, 6S initiatives, cost reductions, housekeeping)
To carry out any other duties that may be necessary to meet departmental objectives.
